A small car park is available in the centre of the village of Soulages.
The duration of the 3-hour route is calculated on the basis of 3.5 km/h.
(S/E) Walk down the main street towards the south-west.
(1) Turn right onto the shepherd's path, which marks the start of the walk. Continue until you reach the junction with a farm track.
(2) Turn left and follow the yellow markings. Continue straight ahead, ignoring two paths on the left.
(3) Turn left again and continue to the next junction.
(4) Turn left, following the yellow markings, and follow the Ancise ridge to the orientation table.
(5) Explore the area and the landscape, then return to the water catchment and turn right towards the south-east. You will reach a three-way junction.
(6) Turn left to avoid part of the tarmac road.
(7) Take the hairpin bend to the right onto the farm track, leave another track on the left and come out onto the road.
(8) Follow this road to the left. View of the Causse Méjean to the south and the Aubrac mountains to the north. Stay on the road, continuing in the same direction. At the crossroads at the entrance to Saint-Georges-de-Lévéjac, keep to the right.
(9) Take the path on the right that leads to the centre of the village. Cross the square, veering to the left, and take the alley opposite between the houses, following the red and white markings of the GR®6. At the end, continue straight ahead on the path heading north. You will come to a road; walk a few dozen metres to the left to reach a crossroads.
(10) Turn left onto the farm track (yellow markings) and leave the GR®. Ignore a path on the left and then another on the right and you will come to a fork in the shape of an inverted Y.
(11) Keep to the right towards the village of Soulages.
(1) Continue to the right to return to the car park (S/E).
