Park in the car park at Le Rozier town hall.
(S/E) On leaving the car park, take the Route de Capluc opposite. Follow it to the first bend, where you must leave it to take a flight of steps leading uphill, which joins the small road at the upper bend. Resume the uphill road, which soon leads onto a path. This climbs the hillside in a general east-northeast direction and meets a track on the left.
(1) Take this path (GR®) and continue along the ridge to reach the hamlet. Continue eastwards; the slope rises in very regular hairpin bends through the forest. You will come out onto a perpendicular path (GR®6 to the left, GRP® to the right).
(2) Turn left and follow the GR®6 until you reach a junction. You then climb towards a small pass (CAF marker) following the GR®6 route towards Cassagnes.
(3) Follow the Martel path (red and white markings) as it crosses the northern slope of the Corniche du Tarn. Walk along the cliff face of the Rocher de Francbouteille, then follow the contour line along a wide path with a few views of the semi-troglodytic hamlets of Églazines and Saint-Marcellin.
You arrive at the junction at Fontaine du Teil (50m below), a tapped drinking water source that often runs dry in the height of summer.
(4) Stay on the GR®6 until you reach another junction.
(5) Turn left towards the Rocher de Cinglegros (1,800m) via a lovely path through the woodland, leaving the GR®6. The path is magnificent and shaded, with lovely views over the Gorges du Tarn. You then pass close to the source of the Biendous.
(6) We then follow the Sentier Martel to the left; as we descend, we quickly reach the access path to Cinglegros (yellow sign). This is quite vertiginous, with three ladders and a few staples on the descent (the ‘3 fondus’ sections) before reaching the foot of the rock. The climb involves several ladders, the last of which is a bit wobbly. The reward awaits at the top with a breathtaking panorama.
(7) Return via the same route to the junction with the path leading to Cassagnes.
(6) Follow the track to the left towards La Bourgarié, which quickly becomes a wide path climbing towards a small pass. Then descend through the woodland.
(8) Turn right onto a track suitable for vehicles, heading towards the GR®6.
(9) Turn right onto the GR®6, leaving it at the next junction and following the GRP® (red and yellow markings) to the left. Descend southwards along a forest track, then a path leads to the ridge.
(10) Stay on the GR®6 and leave it at the next junction, then follow the GRP® (red and yellow markings) to the left. Head south down a forest track, then a path leads to the cliff edge.
(11) Follow the ledge westwards. Several tracks to the left lead to viewpoints over the Jonte Gorges and the village of Le Truel. You reach the most remarkable viewpoint at the “Balcon du Vertige” with its handrail hanging over the void!
(12) You then continue through a more rugged area, moving away from the cliff edge to reach a rock with a hole in it and then the "Pas du Loup" with its metal gate. You arrive at the nearby "Vase de Chine", a magnificent monolithic rock. We soon reach the "Vase de Sèvres". A path just beyond the Vase de Sèvres leads to a beautiful view of the end of the Jonte Gorges and Peyreleau.
(2) rejoin the GR®6 and follow it to the left to descend back to Le Rozier via the same route as on the way out. (S/E)

, the return on the ledges between points 10 and 12 is quite vertiginous but the views are magnificent
