Alternating plains and hillsides, with very clear views, the Alps on one side and the Pilat massif on the other. Best enjoyed on a clear day.
Small routes over the ridges of Estrablin
An easy walk in the village of Estrablin which, over the course of two hours, offers large open views over the surrounding hills and mountains. We mainly take small peaceful tarmacked country lanes, which means you can enjoy a walking excursion even after heavy rainfall and when the paths are almost impassable.

The passage on the (private) path from (1) seems to be causing problems.
In the meantime: at the fork, 400 m before this waypoint (1), turn right (Chemin des Frères) then left onto the D167 and further on you will find the waypoint (2).
Circular along the Gère river then through the heart of the Malissol neighbourhood.
This circular route connects the Gère valley to the Malissol neighbourhood. It follows a path along the banks of the Gère, part of which is in the Malissol forest, near the fitness trail, and some more rocky sections in the heart of the Malissol neighbourhood.
A family walk with a slight incline, best done with flat, closed-toe shoes (forest trails).
Some places of interest around Eyzin-Pinet route No. 1
On this fairly flat loop, you follow a stream and then a river where brown trout breed. You will discover some beautiful restored houses and mills, a spring, a lake...
An easy, short and enjoyable hike, best done in good weather in summer when La Gère is low, due to the need to ford the river.
Some points of interest around Eyzin-Pinet route No. 2
Explore the old village of Pinet and its castles, then the Pinet tower, before descending through the forest and meadows, enjoying unobstructed views of the Pilat massif, the Monts du Lyonnais and Mont Verdun in the Monts d'Or.
The heights of Vienne by small roads for wet days
A hike that almost exclusively uses small roads without traffic, providing a route where the paths are not an option.
We start in Vienne and experience its panoramic views of Notre-Dame de Pipet and the Vienne hills with beautiful views of the Rhône Valley and the Pilat massif at the bottom.
The return journey takes you through the homes on the Vienne heights while maintaining good views of the Viennoise hills.
The Lovers' Bridge - Grand tour around the Télégraphe
A beautiful hike alternating between woodland trails and majestic views of the Pilat Regional Nature Park and the Rhône Valley.
Discover the historic city of Vienne (Isère)
A short walk through the historic centre of Vienne. It will allow you to discover the city's main sites. The passage through the Pipet belvedere involves a good climb, but you will be rewarded with a splendid view of the city, the Rhône valley and, as a bonus, the foothills of the Monts du Lyonnais and Pilat.

This is a varied hike that crosses the Blaches Forest via a wide track before descending to the Combe de Vau nature reserve with its beautiful rolling hills.
The return journey takes you through the old hamlet of Pinet, where you can discover some historical curiosities.
This hike is also suitable for mountain bikes.
The Terres Rouges and Les Revolets
A short, easy and enjoyable stroll. You will walk alongside ponds, cross through woods on wide, pleasant paths (which can sometimes be a bit muddy...). The peaks of Pilat are visible in the distance. Thanks to Marc for this walk!
Le Plan to Illins circular
This is a nice walk which mostly consists of walking around the town through beautiful forests and fields.
This route is a nice alternative to avoid any slippery and muddy parts when it has rained a lot.
It also passes through a historical cemetery and church where you can stop for a lunch break.
Route des Combes in Saint-Just
A varied walk. First, you walk across the plain, along a stream on the edge of a poplar forest. Then you walk through the valleys, on the hillside with some views of the Pilat and Lyonnais mountains.
The Villette-de-Vienne pond and the Combe des Brigands starting from Luzinay
Starting from Luzinay, between wetlands and shady forests. Beautiful views of the Pilat, Vercors and Mont Blanc mountains and the Lyon metropolitan area. Depending on the season, between the start (S/E) and point (3), in the morning you may see storks resting in the wetlands of the Sévenne valley, grey herons and great egrets. The first part of the route, up to point (6), is mainly flat terrain on small roads with little traffic during the day and a few small paths. After the village of Villette-de-Vienne, deer and pheasants can often be seen on the hillsides, for those who know how to be discreet and observant. The end of the route takes you past the medieval chapel of Illins (11th and 13th centuries) and its cemetery. There are no particular difficulties in terms of orientation, but signposts are rare, if not non-existent.
Le Taillis de Mure and the Illins Chapel
This is an unpretentious walk. It alternates between different landscapes (countryside, forest) and surfaces (gravel paths, small asphalt roads). If the weather is clear, you will have many views of the surrounding peaks. There are two small hills (not too steep) to keep you in shape.
The three valleys: Valaise, Gère and Girand
A hike with a relatively even elevation gain, which mainly takes place in the undergrowth and offers occasional views of the peaks.

A loop through the vineyards of Seyssuel

In autumn, the Fromentaux woods are full of chestnuts. In good weather, you can see Mont Blanc and the Alps from the heights. The route also takes us to the small spring at Maison Badin, passes through La Beaume and Les Combes, crosses the small stream of La Vesonne and returns via the peaceful By pond.
We also walk alongside numerous meadows where horses graze.
Around the Gerbole stream
A fairly short hike that follows many shaded and fairly steep paths. A walk that allows you to appreciate the contrast between the cool, enclosed areas leading to the Gerbole stream and the wide, open views of the Pilat massif and the vineyards of the northern Côtes du Rhône.A change of scenery, a little physically demanding, just a few kilometres from Vienne...

This magnificent garden, beautiful in all seasons, is open to the public free of charge seven days a week. Here you can admire collections of plants and trees, as well as a pond where all kinds of brightly coloured ducks frolic. It is classified as a "remarkable garden" and has won awards.
Walk in the woods from the Chapel of Notre-Dame de Limon
Walk in the woods recommended in hot, dry weather. A few viewpoints, particularly of the Alps on a clear day. The paths are well maintained but the woods are much less so; they have something of an end-of-the-world feel to them.
In the Bois de Saint-Jean in Communay
A beautiful, quick walk in the heart of the Bois de Saint-Jean in Communay. There are quite a few steep sections in two or three places. Despite the proximity of the A46 motorway, you will feel far away from civilisation during this walk.
