Park your vehicle in the car park in the centre of Moidieu (municipality of Moidieu-Détourbe), not far from the Murier inn and café.
(S/E) From the Moidieu car park, head east towards the Café du Mûrier, which you pass on the right, taking the Chemin des Fontaines (signposted). Very quickly, this lane turns to the right. Leave it by taking a wide path straight ahead that climbs up the hillside.
After a while, when you reach a small tarmac road, turn right and quickly enter the hamlet of Cancelet.
(1) Take the path on the left (yellow markings) after a house and continue until you reach a small tarmac road.
(2) Signpost "Le Gabot". Take this small road on the left and descend into the valley to the hamlet of Vernéa.
(3) Sign for "Vernéa". Continue straight ahead, cross a bridge and immediately turn left.
Pass two houses, then turn right onto a path that climbs back up into the forest.
Very soon, at a fork, take the right-hand branch. Further on, ignore a path on the right and continue straight ahead (yellow markings not very visible).
At the next fork, take the left branch (I did not see any markings). The path makes a sharp turn to the left and takes a shortcut to the right that is not shown on the IGN map and leads to a hunters' cabin.
(4) Turn right and quickly leave the forest to come out onto a small tarmac road, which you take to the left (signposted "Bois communal"). Continue until you reach a crossroads, signposted "Le Meillou".
(5) Continue straight ahead until you reach a house on the right and a path leading off to the left (signposted "Laveyssin"). Take the path on the left. You will soon come to another signpost for "Laveyssin le bas".
(6) Turn right and you will soon reach the D38, which you take to the left for about 20 metres. You will find a path that branches off at a 45° angle to the left. Follow this path, which will take you back to the D38 a little further on.
(7) Cross over and take Chemin de la Poyat opposite. You will come to a group of houses where you naturally turn left to reach the hamlet of Guettières (Gaitières on the IGN map).
(8) Turn right (Chemin des Guettières) and cross the hamlet (water point).
Continue on your way. For a while, you will see trees on your left and a large cultivated field on your right. At the end of the field, your path naturally turns right and then descends towards the plain. You will arrive at a path that you must follow to the left. Very quickly, you will see the sign for "Combe Gelas".
(9) Turn left. You will be walking eastwards with the hill on your left and the plain on your right.
When you reach a hamlet (Le Julien), turn 90° to the right to cross a stream and join the Estrablin road. Turn left to enter Moidieu (be careful, traffic travels fast) and return to the starting point (S/E).
