Departure from the Comte Rolland car park, on the banks of the Gère (two other possible points, see practical information).

(S/E) From the Comte Rolland car park, follow the path along the Gère, going upstream on the left bank. Continue in this direction until you reach the shopping centre.
(1) At the end of the shopping centre, leave the path on the right and take the tarmac road near the "Le marché aux affaires" shop.
Go through the small tunnel under the D41 and start climbing towards Malissol Castle. After about 100 metres, when the path turns right, continue straight ahead. At the castle, turn right and then cross the Malissol hill near the roundabout to reach the small park.
(2) Cross the park using the path immediately to the right at the pedestrian crossing. At the exit (at the top), turn left to reach the main street, Avenue Jean de la Fontaine. Continue uphill, leaving Place de la Ferme on your right, until you reach the roundabout.
(3) Turn right onto Rue Claude Nicolas Ledoux and continue straight ahead.
(4) Just before No. 15, turn right onto a small tarmac road, then take the path on the left just after the houses. Walk along the back of the houses and enter the Malissol Forest.
Continue to follow the path. At the crossroads, take the path opposite. At the next two crossroads, ignore the paths on the right.
(5) At the fork, take the path on the right. Go down to the stream, cross it and continue along the path that goes uphill. At the first intersection, turn right and, 10 metres further on, turn left for 40 metres. Follow this path for 50 metres and take the path on the right (at a right angle) which takes you back downhill to Chemin de Saint-Ignace.
(6) When you reach the bottom of the forest, turn right. At the intersection with Chemin de Durandal, turn right. Take the bridge over the D41 and continue to the roundabout. Go around the roundabout and continue straight ahead on Rue Miles Davis. After the third house on the left, take the footpath on the left which leads you to the bottom of the housing estate. Follow Rue Ray Charles to the left.
(7) At the intersection with Rue Ella Fitzgerald, take a path on the right and continue downhill. The path enters the forest and joins Chemin Girard de Vienne.
Follow this path downhill, cross Boulevard des Alpes and take Chemin de la Belle Aude opposite. Continue downhill. After No. 4 Chemin de la Belle Aude (green metal gate framed by red bricks), turn left onto Chemin du Comte Rolland. You will arrive at the Comte Rolland car park on the right (S/E).
