Park in the municipal car park on the main square of the village of Eyzin-Pinet, opposite the town hall and the swimming pool.
(S/E) When you are in the car park opposite the swimming pool, take the road (D 41) to the left towards Vienne
After about 20 metres on the D41, you will cross a bridge over a small stream. Immediately after this bridge, take the path that descends to the right (Impasse du Vieux Moulin). The road turns into a path; follow it. The path then runs alongside a stream until it reaches a small waterfall (photo 1).
(1) When you reach a road, turn right. After the "Voie sans issue" sign, take the path on the left between two fences.
(2) Ford the river (photo 2). Continue along the path and, once you reach the road (D38), take Impasse de la Garde opposite. At a place called La Garde, turn right towards Thibaud (yellow sign). When the tarmac road ends, you will see a superb restored Dauphiné house on your left (photo 3).
Turn back and, at La Garde (signpost), head towards "Estrablin Moidieu, Le Petit Bois". The road gives way to a path.
(3) At the top of the hill, at the crossroads, take the path on the right and, a few metres further on, take a path on the right that goes up into the woods. Follow this path until you reach a road and turn right.
(4) At the top, at the crossroads, take the road on the right (Montée des Cabanes).
Leave the small road on the right and, at the fork at the bottom of the descent, turn left.
(5) After the picnic area and the basketball hoop, take the path on the left.
The path turns into a trail along the Gère, more or less overgrown with vegetation depending on the season, then back into a wide path. You will arrive at a pretty lake with an old restored mill and the spring (photo 4) that feeds the lake (photo 5). The area around the lake and the spring is private, so you must stay on the farm track. After the small bridge , continue along the road.
(6) At the junction with the D41, go straight on towards Cours et Buis, Montée de Monfort. Depending on the season, you can see Monfort Castle opposite through the trees
Take the first road on the right. At the end of the road, turn left and then right at the bottom of the hill.
(7) At the crossroads, turn left onto Montée de l'Église, then immediately right onto Impasse des Lauriers. To the left of the small car park, take the path along a stone wall, below the church. At the end of the path, take the road on the left, which turns into a track.
(8) Turn onto the first tarmac road that descends to the right. Take the passage on the left just before the Dauphinois-style house to reach the village square, from where you can see the small car park where you started, almost opposite (S/E).
