Roussayrolles through the magical forest and the old mills...

A lovely family walk, there and back, strolling along the Tarn.

This hiking trail follows paths steeped in history that were once important links in the Réalmontais region. It passes through two small villages: Sieurac, a charming village reminiscent of Tuscany, and Laboutarié, whose Occitan name (Botaria) means "cooper's workshop".

A very beautiful hike where you will find a dolmen and a menhir statue, flower-lined paths, and views of the Murat countryside, Camarès and the slopes of Espinouse. Part of this route follows the ancient Roman road which became the Via Tolosana in the Middle Ages, the route from Arles to Santiago de Compostela.

Wandering through mining country, the hiker’s footsteps take the place of the train’s, laden with precious ore. A lovely route steeped in history.

Partly forest walk down into the Nauze and Viaur valley where the Versailles site is located: a little paradise by the stream, ideal for a picnic, a spot of fishing or simply a break.

In the heart of the Rougier de Camarès and crossed by the Dourdou, the medieval village of Saint-Izaire welcomes us with its imposing suspension bridge, its red sandstone church and its 14th-century castle (former residence of the bishops of Vabres l'Abbaye). You will be charmed by this delightful village, where the sun gives the red stone facades a flamboyant appearance.

Through a coniferous forest, we discover the Russian Orthodox Chapel nestled in the heart of the woods, in an idyllic green setting. Time to pause and meditate on this magical place. Superb views. The trail is mainly woodland, which is pleasant in hot weather.

A lovely walk from the charming village of Moyrazes, which overlooks the Aveyron valley and its magnificent panoramic views.

Perched on its rocky outcrop, Jouqueviel Castle, from the Occitan "joc" meaning perch and "vielh" meaning old, lives up to its name. Its ruins remain a testament to feudal life, having valiantly resisted the ravages of time. You will walk along the banks of the Viaur, which will take you to the 12th-century Chapelle des Infournats, and continue on through the pretty little hamlets of L'Ouradou and Lauretié. Follow the signs for "sentiers de Lauretié L'ouradou".

Route through the Montagne Noire, with superb panoramic views of the Lauragais, the village of Dourgne and Sainte-Scholastique, places of worship (Quatre Saints) and magnificent pine forests.

This pleasant short walk will introduce you to the old village of Castelnau, its tower, its church and other elements of its architectural heritage. You will also discover the ridges among the vineyards, which offer panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and the city of Albi.

This hike around Villeneuve-sur-Vère allows you to discover the beauty of the Causse Cordais landscapes. You will walk among white stones, cereal fields and vineyards near local producers: lentils, oil, brandies and Gaillac wines.

A beautiful hike on the Causse du Larzac to admire the Cirque du Brias, commonly known as the Cirque de Tournemire. It is surrounded by one of the most beautiful cliffs on the western edge of the Larzac, from the top of which you can enjoy a vast panorama. The best time to visit is May/June to admire all the flowers on the causse. Continue towards Viala-du-Pas-de-Jaux with its magnificent restored hospital tower.

Sampzon, a small village perched on a promontory overlooking the Rocher and encircled by a loop of the Ardèche, (you have to see it from the top of the car park). A veritable natural belvedere, it offers a unique panorama of the meandering Ardèche. The old village has preserved its traditional houses. The route is very well signposted.

On the right bank of the Tarn, Castelnau-de-Lévis is a walk between ridges, plateaus and hills with remarkable views of the surrounding valleys. A beautiful architectural heritage of half-timbered houses, dovecotes, crosses and a castle.

Perched on a plateau at over 800m, Montfranc and the spire of its mountain-style church look out towards the Tarn and the Aveyron. A short, unpretentious walk, with lovely paths and views of the Monts de Lacaune.

This short walk in the hills around Monestiès offers beautiful views of the village and the Ségala mountains. After crossing the Lauzeral forest, the trail winds along the old railway line. Remember to take a torch to get through the unlit tunnel. Yellow markings "La Borie Blanche"

Perched on a rocky promontory, Lordat Castle guards and dominates the Ariège valley. This hike takes you around it, offering panoramic views and typical mountain villages. Yellow markings. Be careful as the markings are sometimes difficult to see.

In the shade of the pink sandstone collegiate church and the surrounding woods, a peaceful escape on bushy paths, mills and hamlets, forest trails wind their way along the river Rance. Yellow markings and a ford on the Rance. ⚠️To be avoided in periods of heavy rain, otherwise one passes at ease by taking off one's shoes.

The green lung of the Albigeois region, the Saint-Quintin Forest in Cagnac-les-Mines is a paradise for walkers. Located between the Ruisseau de la Mouline stream and the old Albi-Cagnac railway line, this path is appreciated for its tranquillity and bucolic walks. Yellow and white-redGR®36markings.

An easy walk through wooded and rural landscapes, allowing you to discover the medieval village of Montricoux as well as dovecotes, wash houses and sheepfolds on the edge of the Causse plateau. YellowPR®2markings Please note that there are a few tarmac sections, particularly on the return journey.

A short walk in the hills above Le Séquestre, with a few gentle climbs and a lovely view of the town of Albi, its cathedral and its route.

Very pleasant trail between water and forest followed by a themed trail on the peat bog with explanatory panels. Ideal in hot weather, very shady trail (except for the dyke).

Wild and secretive, the Viaur valley reveals its charms only to the most curious. The Viaur flows peacefully, surrounded by deep gorges and dotted with numerous mills and swimming areas.

Between Lavaur and Puylaurens, this circular route allows you to discover part of the Roman road, the hills of the "Pays de Cocagne" (Land of Plenty), the land of pastel, and the Château de Magrin.

This circular is part of the Grand 8 route in Ségala Carmausin. You will walk through the Tarn countryside along pretty paths lined with low walls and wooden bridges, enjoying lovely views of the surrounding area.

Just a stone’s throw from the town and running alongside the River Tarn for much of the way, this lovely little path offers a pleasant stroll along the riverbank, with vegetation that boasts a wealth of biodiversity. Yellow markings.

A shaded descent takes you to the Gaycre stream, which you follow for a while to the murmur of the water and the song of the birds, then wide paths lead back up to the Assac plateau. Yellow markings

Fraissines is a small village overlooking the Tarn valley. Balcony paths wind their way up the steep slopes covered with tree heath. This ancient path once linked the villages of Trébas and Combradet. Viewpoints over the Tarn and Aveyron valleys, a spring, a waterfall and abundant, varied vegetation enhance this pretty route. A short walk through rolling countryside covered with vineyards and meadows. Rural heritage, crosses and dovecotes throughout this route. A short stretch of very shady and quiet road. Yellow markings, not very visible in places.

Discover an ancient silver mining village and troglodyte dwellings. This walk immerses us in history and heritage. Take the time to make a detour to the hamlet of Le Minier, which was once famous for its silver mines. Yellow markings.

Starting from Octon, this beautiful walk takes you to the ruins of Château de Lauzières and the 12th-century Romanesque chapel of Roubignac.

On the Ségala plateau, in the Tarn, rises Mont du Puy Saint-Georges, dominated by the ruins of the 13th-century Saint-Barthélémy Church. From the summit, a splendid view unfolds before us and, in fine weather, one can see the Pyrenees and admire the sunsets.This short route is a return walk, with no signposting.

A short, very pleasant walk that takes you to the well-maintained reservoir.

The path starts at the chapel of Taillefer, winding its way through plains, hills and valleys, through woods, fields and pastures. It runs alongside part of the Lézert, which is very pleasant in spring, where the paths are truly beautiful.
