Park in Saint-Sernin les Mailhoc, on the church side or in front of the old school.
No signposts
(S/E) From the school, turn right towards Route de Cagnac-les-Mines via the D25. Continue along this section of road until you reach a crossroads.
(1) At the crossroads, turn left onto the grassy path that climbs uphill, admiring the view of the plains and Monts Tarnais. Turn left down a slightly bumpy path, skirting a field, and you will reach a dead end.
(2) Turn right to reach the Fourogue Reservoir.
(3) Turn right and start walking around the lake in an anti-clockwise direction.
(4) Turn left at the edge of the lake (leave the track and continue straight ahead). At the crossroads shortly afterwards, turn left again and continue along the lake.
(5) Make a short detour to the left to reach a wooden footbridge offering a beautiful view of the lake.
(5) Continue along the main path. Turn left twice and cross a stream. Continue around the lake until you reach the dam.
(6) Turn left onto the dam and walk past the spillway.
(7) On the other side of the dam, turn left and take a path lined with fir trees.
(3) Return to the crossroads you took on the way there and turn right.
(2) Continue straight ahead on the small road, ignoring the other roads on the left and right, until you reach the cemetery. Then turn left onto a small road.
(8) Shortly afterwards, turn right onto Rue du Presbytère and walk past the church. Ignore a street on the right and, at the T-junction, turn left to return immediately to the starting point (S/E).
