Park in the Fraissines car park, water point, toilets and picnic table. Don't forget to take a stroll around this little village with its two bell towers.
(S/E) With your back to the church, turn right and follow the path that winds its way up the steep slopes, with the Tarn river below. Caution: be careful near the cliffs, as the rocky outcrops can be slippery in wet weather. Continue along the path, lined with beautiful heather, which joins a road.
(1) At the road, continue to the left, pass the hamlet of La Valette (spring), then turn right onto a grassy path lined with low walls and terraces. Reach the hamlet of Flamarenq.
(2) Turn left and, a few metres further on, at the cross, climb left up a drovers' road to reach La Borde. Views over the Aveyron and the hilltop village of Combradet.
(3) At La Borde, pass in front of a shed and turn left onto a shaded path towards La Piladié
(4) Before the cross, turn right and climb up a sunken path, cross the road and take the path opposite that leads to the ridge path. Continue along the road to the left until you reach Fontvieille
(5). Continue along the road to the right and walk along the side of Puech des Pins (viewpoint over Ségala Tarnais, Assac and its wind turbines).
At the next four-way junction, turn right, then left onto the field path and descend towards Trébas-les-Bains.
(6) At the intersection, leave the path that descends towards Trébas, turn left and climb slightly into the woods, following this pretty shaded path lined in places with low walls, waterfalls and a few clearings with views of the Tarn valley.
(7) When you reach the road, continue straight on to Fraissines (S/E).
