This hike winds its way near the Château de Montaigne, located in the commune of Saint-Michel-de-Montaigne. It is a 14th-century fortified house that was the family home of the Renaissance philosopher and thinker Michel de Montaigne.
The vineyard is part of the Bergerac appellation d'origine contrôlée (AOC).
