Mutzig walks

An easy mountain bike ride that allows you to explore the surroundings of Mutzig and Dorlisheim.

This walk takes you through varied landscapes, vineyards, forests and typical villages, and also allows you to discover various sanctuaries (chapels, churches and statues). Take in the panoramic views from the vantage points to admire the valley at your feet (Schiebenberg, Heilih Hiesel Chapel, Mutzig).Passing through the medieval town of Mutzig, you can take a shortcut through the town centre to find restaurants/tea rooms for refreshments.

This is a fairly easy walk, mainly through the forest, on the heights of Mutzig, where you can discover a few points of interest: the Heilig Hiesel chapel, the Geissfels rock, the Drei Spitze summit, and, optionally, a dam on the Bruche.

Welcome to the Mutzig-Molsheim region, located in the heart of Alsace, on the Wine Route, about 20 kilometres from Strasbourg. This hike takes you on an excursion into the Bruche Valley, with landscapes of forests, fields and villages, as well as a panoramic view from the Schiebenberg hill. Enjoy your hike!

This route allows you to discover the Sentier des Roches de Mutzig first, then continue on to a less wild section at Felsburg and then hike on the classic Tour du Schiebenberg. This route alternates between sections in the forest and in the fields.

The Trötele reveals the landscapes around Molsheim: a succession of meadows, vineyards, hills, forests and villages. Crossing the protected natural site of Jesselsberg in Soultz-les-Bains. Trötele means grape press in Alsatian.

An easy walk through forest and vineyards, discovering the Laegerbrunnen fountain, the summit of Dreispitz (Three Peaks) and the Heilig Hiesel chapel.

This is an easy walk to discover the fountain known as the Puits d'Amour or Dattelbrunnen. It passes through the vineyards of Dorlisheim and orchards. It can easily be shortened or lengthened to suit your preferences.

This walk takes you along the Bruche River to the Dompeter d'Avolsheim, the oldest church in Alsace. After passing through the village centre, the route takes you to the Saint-Ulrich Chapel, where you can admire its ancient frescoes before returning to Molsheim along the other bank of the Bruche. Starting from the Molsheim municipal campsite, discover the site of Fort Mutzig. This hike is also offered by the Molsheim-Mutzig Tourist Office, but starting from Mutzig. This section is marked with a green ring. A very varied route between town, vineyards and forests, not to mention the banks of the Bruche. There are beautiful views of the towns of Molsheim and Mutzig and the Bruche valley.

This is an easy walk to discover the Wurmberg. It is located in the Bruche valley near Gresswiller. It is a small hill with terraces. You can see a wide variety of plants and orchards and, if you are lucky, some animals, especially birds.

A loop to discover the chapels near Molsheim. This circuit runs through the vineyards and along the Bruche Canal.

If you are looking for a varied hike alternating between wide panoramic views from a ridge and a valley with meadows, undergrowth and vineyards, you will not be disappointed. There is also a touch of local history linked to the most important German fortification of the late 19th century.

This hike with a slight elevation gain, in a hilly setting on the slopes of the Vosges foothills, will take you along a section of the old "Rosheim-Saint-Nabor" railway line, the future greenway, which is already open and will be inaugurated in the summer of 2019. It can also be done by mountain bike.

Loop hike from Rosheim, combining the "Circuit des balcons" and the "Circuit du vignoble". An undulating route with no difficulty, winding through the vineyards on the heights of Rosheim, then leading to Rosenwiller and its "Sentier de découverte de collines en vignobles" (discovery trail through the vineyard hills). The return journey will allow you to discover the must-see sights of the Roman city of Rosheim.

Parc and Château de la Léonardsau, through vineyards and forests, via Boersch, Saint-Léonard, Mont National and Bischenberg.

Short circular loop from Rosheim, a beautiful Alsatian city (situated on the Wine Route and the Roman Route), particularly steeped in history, which its architectural heritage is evidence of. Walk through the vineyards and orchards towards Bischenberg, its convent, dry prairies and beautiful view over the plain.

A charming walk through the vineyards around Wolxheim and Avolsheim. Along this route, you can discover magnificent little chapels and pilgrimage sites: Notre-Dame d'Altbronn, the statue of the Sacred Heart, Saint-Denis, Saint-Ulrich, Dompeter and Saint-Armuth.

This route takes you through the vineyards of Alsace's "Suisse d'Alsace" region, along the Alsace Wine Route, passing through villages near Balbronn. Winegrowers line the route, offering visitors the chance to stop for a quick tour of their cellars and, why not, a tasting. The Loejele is a wooden barrel used to carry drinks to the fields, vineyards and forests. A third of the hike is on tracks or tarmac roads.

Near Boersch, Mollkirch, Grendelbruch, Ottrott, in the Bischoffsheim forest. Through magnificent pine, fir, oak and beech forests, the paths and trails climb towards the Heidenkopf, where the 20-metre-high Mündel Tower, built in 1909 by the Club Vosgien, offers a 360° panoramic view of the Alsace plain, the Black Forest, the Vosges foothills, the Champ du Feu massif and the Bruche valley. Numerous signs put up by the Club Vosgien de Rosheim, particularly in the car park, present the various hiking options in the area, including this one.
