Description of the walk

Park in car park P4 (signposted) at the corner of Rue des Remparts and Chemin Diebweg. Other nearby parking spaces are available on Rue des Remparts: car park P1 near the Hôtel Le Dormeur, car park P2 near the town hall and (to be checked) the one near the Château de Brosse.

(S/E) Take Rue des Remparts westwards to the roundabout. Pass a few farms.

(1) Take thethird street on the left, slightly uphill, towards the pony club, on Rue Ettore Bugatti. The school of the same name is on the right. After the last house, turn left onto Chemin Stufrain and continue to the bridge over the motorway.

Red disc markings

Cross the bridge and continue straight ahead on the Way of St James. You will reach a crossroads with several directions.

(2) Turn right, then immediately left onto the slightly uphill path. Begin crossing vineyards and orchards. After about 300 metres, this path turns right. Then, after about 100 metres, at a bench, take the tarmac path to the left. Leave the tarmac road to the right, and after a few dozen metres turn right again onto a grassy path until you reach the crossroads marked by a sign. Turn left to reach the Puits d'Amour (Well of Love) a few steps further on

(3). After your visit, return to the crossroads and continue left along the grassy path. At the vineyards, turn left, then right, and join a tarmac road, following it downhill. You will arrive at the edge of the dual carriageway.

No markings

(4) Leave the signposts here and walk along the dual carriageway on the right, heading east, until you reach the multi-directional crossroads you passed on the way there.

(2) Continue straight ahead and join the dual carriageway. Follow it to the right along the farm track below until you reach Rue du Vogelgesang.

(5) Turn right, then left, and you will reach the bridge over the expressway. Cross this bridge near the Vogelgesang farm and continue along Rue de Vogelgesang until you reach the first fork.

(6) Turn right at a 90° angle until you reach the railway line, go left to the level crossing and turn left here to reach car park P4 (S/E).

We didn't see the fountain of the well of love, even though we were very close to it.
The direction of the arrows on the posts is often ambiguous.
