Circular around Mutzig and Dorlisheim

Depart from the car park at Place de l'Abattoir, opposite the bank, Avenue du Général de Gaulle in Mutzig.

(S/E) Cycle towards the Mutzig gate, then turn left into Passage des Lavoirs.
At the end, turn left, cross the Canal de la Bruche and follow it on the other bank.

(1) At the park exit, take Passage du Couvent on the left and cross the Bruche. Then take Rue de Hermollseim on the left and immediately turn right.
Cross the railway line, then follow Rue des Violettes until you reach Rue du Chalet on the right. Take this road, which is slightly uphill, and pass under the expressway.

(2) After passing under the expressway (D1420), turn right (the only steep but very short climb), then ride along a wall (the expressway's protective barrier) to reach the Chapel of Our Lady of Seven Sorrows.

(3) After visiting the chapel, return to the bridge under the motorway.

(2) Continue straight ahead and follow the motorway for 2 km. Ignore a bridge over the motorway and continue to the next three-way junction.

(4) Turn onto the^first road on the right and head towards the vineyard. Turn onto the^second path on the left, between the vines, and arrive at the Puits d'Amour (Dattelbrunne).

(5) Then descend to the left onto the path, then take the road on the left and follow it to the track on the right, at the corner of the vineyard. Take this track, continue straight ahead, then follow the D1420 to a multiple junction, near the Vogelgesang farm.

(6) Continue straight ahead and take the^first road on the left. Cross the bridge over the railway line and turn right onto the hairpin bend. Pass under the bridge and make a small circular loop near the Trèfle de Dorlisheim interchange, keeping to the right at each fork.

(7) At the road, turn right and return to the multiple junction near the Vogelgesang farm.

(6) Continue straight ahead, cross the bridge over the expressway and turn right at the next junction. In the 90° left-hand bend, continue straight ahead on a path until you reach the railway line and follow it on your right-hand side on a very rough path until you find a road crossing the level crossing.

(8) Turn left, then right onto Rue des Remparts. At the four-way junction, continue straight ahead onto Impasse du Curé Freund, then walk alongside the retirement home on your left until you reach the end of Rue du Gaentzig, near the church.

(9) Turn right towards Espace Pluriel and you will reach a fork in the road just before the bridge over the Schiffbach.

(10) Turn left and follow the small path that runs alongside the stream on your right. Pass under a high-voltage power line twice and you will reach a junction with a small road.

(11) Turn right, pass under the high-voltage power line again, cross the level crossing and arrive at the junction just after passing under the railway bridge.

(12) Turn left, walk along the Étang de la Chapelle on your left, then reach the Chapelle Saint-Jacques.

(13) Continue along the road and reach the junction at the end of Rue Saint-Jacques.

(14) Turn right, cross the bridge over the Bruche river and follow the cycle path to the car park at Place de l'Abattoir (S/E).
