Wolxheim is located 20 km from Strasbourg. Take the D45 to get there. Park in the car park on the right as you enter Wolxheim. It is located along the Bruche Canal.
(S/E) Go straight ahead into the centre of Wolxheim. Turn right towards Ergersheim, then climb up the road opposite: follow the blue cross signs towards Horn. Once you reach the fork after the last houses, take the right-hand branch and go straight ahead to the end of the vineyard.
(1) Turn right towards the Notre-Dame d'Altbronn Chapel. Then turn left and enjoy the view of the chapel as you walk alongside it. Turn right after the houses and go around the field on your left. Once at the corner, take the path on the left towards the Source Sainte-Anne, pass it and continue until you reach the tarmac road.
(2) Follow the road to the left. Then take the first path on the right and turn left at the crossroads. Continue straight ahead towards the Sacré-Cœur statue.
(3) Make a short first turn left then right and follow the path that leads to the statue.
(4) Enjoy the view of the vineyard from the promontory, then descend to the left of the statue. Join the tarmac road below and follow it to the right for about 50 metres, before turning left onto a steep path. At the crossroads, turn right then left to reach the Saint-Denis Chapel.
(5) Continue straight ahead, take the second street on the right after the chapel, and keep left at the crossroads just after to cross the residential area. When you reach the D45, continue on the right towards the Saint-Léon retirement home.
(6) Opposite the retirement home, turn left towards Dompeter and cross the canal via the bridge. Then follow the canal (where you may sometimes see a colony of geese) to the Avolsheim Chapel.
(7) After the chapel, turn right and continue straight ahead on the D127, passing in front of the town hall, before turning right onto Rue du Dompeter. Continue to the second car park, where you will find the Source Sainte-Pétronille.
(8) Turn left to cross the car park, pass by the Church of Saint-Pierre (Dompeter) and then turn left to go around the orchard behind it. Continue straight ahead on the path in front of you.
(9) At the T-junction, turn left and then immediately right to take the tree-lined path. Cross the D127, then follow this road along the cycle path to reach the Saint-Armuth Chapel, the last chapel on the walk.
(10) Continue straight ahead towards Wolxheim. Cross the bridge over the Bruche river, then the canal bridge, and you will arrive at the car park (S/E).
