Park in the car park of Dompeter church.
Follow the Anneau Rouge Chapelles (Red Ring Chapels) markings.
(S/E) Exit via the cemetery to the cave. Head north towards Avolsheim, following Rue du Dompeter to the Saint-Ulrich Chapel.
(1) Set off again along the Bruche river. Take the time to look out for wild geese just around the bend as you leave the chapel. Continue past the lock, then the bridge after the cycle path to the retirement home.
(2) Turn right onto Rue du Canal to pass in front of the Chapelle Marie Auxiliatrice. Continue along Rue du Canal towards the village exit.
(3) Turn left onto Rue Philippe Grass towards the statue of the Sacred Heart, which you can see ahead of you.
(4) Pass in front of the Saint-Denis Chapel and ignore the road on the right.
(5) Head right towards the statue of the Sacred Heart, making a loop to limit the climb. Reach the statue.
(6) Leave the statue, going straight ahead at the back. Cross a road and reach a right-angled crossroads.
(7) Turn right towards the Notre-Dame d'Altbronn Chapel. Walk along the vineyards on your right and, at the end, you will reach the chapel. There is a table and benches here, so you can take the opportunity to have a break.
(8) With the chapel behind you, turn right towards Ergersheim through the vineyards. Once you reach the cemetery, turn right onto Rue Principale and pass the town hall.
(9) Immediately turn left onto Rue de l'École (the Red Ring is not on the wall in front of you, but on the opposite wall). Walk along and then cross the vineyards, passing under the power lines to easily reach the Saint-Michel de Rimlen Chapel.
(10) Set off again, going around the Bleiche stud farm until you reach the junction before the village of Ernolsheim-Bruche. Turn right, then right again and then left to reach the old lock.
(11) Turn right onto the cycle path. Follow the cycle path that runs alongside the abandoned Bruche canal to Egersheim. You will come to a crossroads at the bridge opposite the yellow restaurant "Au canal".
(12) Turn left and cross the Bruche. At the next crossroads, turn right into Rue Erlen towards the abattoir.
(13) After the slaughterhouse, turn left, then right and continue straight on to the Saint-Armuth Chapel.
(14) Leaving the chapel, turn right towards Avolsheim. Cross the road at the junction between the D727 and the D127 (take care), then continue straight ahead to return to the car park where you started (S/E).
