A pleasant and easy hike starting from Gresswiller station, through vineyards with breathtaking views of the Black Forest and the silhouette of Strasbourg Cathedral.
Then we got lost trying to find the chapel*, which needs a sign on a tree. We wandered around for a good ten minutes before finding the path around the chapel and then the marked trail to Gresswiller.

  • This part of the hike is less interesting, running alongside the busy departmental road on a narrow, slippery path in a wet area.

A wonderful surprise! A beautiful, enjoyable hike with stunning views. I recommend it 100%! It was easy to follow the route using the app. I recommend taking a 5-10 minute detour to the Rocher du Geissfels between Mutzig and Gresswiller, between points 9 and 10.

Pleasant hike near Strasbourg. Varied trails. More mountain bikers than hikers, but everyone is respectful.
Benches available at the vineyard for a picnic if desired
