The Dancing Rocks
In a wood near Saint Barthélémy de Vals, these rocks form a group of 51 blocks arranged in three roughly concentric circles covering nearly 6 hectares, hence the name "Cromlech de la Roche qui danse" (Dancing Rock Cromlech). Legend has it that "at the stroke of midnight on Christmas Eve, the rocks begin to dance".

From the Priory of Saint-Andeol to the Tower of Ratières
Hike starting from the small village of Saint-Andéol, where there is a small church called Le Prieuré.You will walk uphill to the Tour de Ratières, where your climb will be rewarded with a magnificent, almost 360° view of the Alps and the Vercors to the east, as well as the Pilat massif and the Ardèche mountains to the west.
The Castle of Bluebeard
The Drôme hills offer rolling countryside landscapes against the backdrop of the Vercors and, when visibility is good, the peaks of the Alps can often be seen on the horizon.
These are beautiful walks all year round, best enjoyed when the days are short and snow is approaching the plains. The route has a modest elevation gain, making it accessible to most people. What's more, the fact that it is spread over two sections of the route makes it easier to complete
From Saint-Vallier to Beausemblant via the Blacheronde plateau
From the banks of the Rhône, climb up to the Blacheronde plateau and follow a circular route via Combe de Laye and the village of Beausemblant. Beautiful views of the Pilat and Vercors mountains and the Rhône valley. You can take a final break in the park along the Galaure river.
From Château du Cros to La Châtaigneraie in Anneyron
A beautiful hike with stunning views of the Rhône Valley. This walking route is very pleasant in all seasons. In some places, it also offers an opportunity for mushroom pickers.

Loop in the Ay Valley starting from Sarras
On the outskirts of Sarras, the Ay river winds its way through a gorge that can be seen from certain points along the route, offering beautiful views of a unique landscape of cliffs and rocks.

Short hike starting from Sarras, mainly on paths and trails through the Saint-Joseph vineyards and woods. Unofficial route and therefore not marked, so bring your GPS or the Visorando app.
Avoid during the grape harvest so as not to disturb the winegrowers.

Sizay Woods and Drôme des Collines

On the heights around Andance
Hike along the banks of the Rhône and on the heights overlooking the Rhône valley, around the village of Andance. This walk offers beautiful views overlooking the valley of this majestic river.
Vallon d'Ardennes and the Tower of Arras in Arras-sur-Rhône
Hike near the Rhône, to the north of Ardèche. You will be surprised to find areas that are this "wild" so close to the Rhône Valley (Ardennes). At the end, the view of the Rhône and the Arras tower is a definite plus.
Around Charmes-sur-l'Herbasse
From Charmes-sur-l'Herbasse, a short circuit passes by the Château de Charmes, a private property that is open to visitors, then winds pleasantly through the woods with a few views of the surrounding hills.
Saint-Donat Northern Loop
A loop alternating between hills, fruit tree plantations, the beautiful forests of Garde and Bard, and numerous sandy paths (almost Saharan!)

Lac de Champos along the Herbasse river from Saint-Donat
This route runs alongside the Herbasse for much of the way, passing through gardens, fields and woods, and reaches Lac de Champos, its campsite and leisure centre, avoiding tarmac as much as possible. It ends at the charming little Georges Bert park.
From Érôme to the Croix de Romans
The route skirts the Rhône valley through valleys, streams and orchards. A very pleasant corner of the Drôme.
Walk in the land of Facteur Cheval
This varied walk first winds along the Galaure river before climbing up the hill. It meanders through the woods before returning to the village of Hauterives, in front of the Palais Idéal. Read the practical information before setting off. There is a ford to cross. If you wish, you can shorten the route and do only a 7 km circular route.

Grands Bois and Terre Noire in Vion
The hike is mainly in the woods, on pleasant paths. You will be in the shade in summer and sheltered from the north wind (Mistral) if it blows (frequent in the region).
Wild descent to Vion, with a few views of the Rhône valley. The last two kilometres are easy, on the plain, through the orchards of the Rhône valley.
