Whichford circular via the edge of Long Compton
Lovely walk in the rolling hills of South Warwickshire, with splendid views and, if done in May, glorious Bluebells.
Leaving the village of Whichford, footpaths climb over the hill and descend to the house at Gottenham, climb again and eventually reach the road near Great Rollright. A short section of road before footpaths and tracks with views over rolling cotswolds take you to the village of Long Compton. Returning with a climb and fantastic woodland with bluebells before reaching the road back to Whichford central green and your parked car.
Swalcliffe - Tadmarton Circular
A picturesque walk on road and field paths in the rolling hills of North West Oxfordshire taking in interesting village of Swalcliffe, Iron age fort by the roman road that used to go from Banbury to Stratford upon Avon, then skirting around Tadmarton village, before one or two hills to get back to Swalcliffe.
Great Tew and Little Tew
This easy circular walk provides a good way to discover two lovely villages with thatched houses, particularly Great Tew! On you way, you will also explore the quiet countryside and enjoy lovely churches and a beautiful giant sequoia!
Shutford - Balscote Circircular Road Walk Oxfordshire
This delightful walk is good when the ground is waterlogged as it is on minor roads starting in Shutford and passing through Balscote. It provides a good view point of ponds with a range of birds just before crossing A422 Stratford Road and returning to Shutford via Five Ways.
From Enstone along River Glyme valleys
An interesting and varied walk along the stream/river valleys of the River Glyme and a tributary, and through the park of a country house with several eccentric features. On the way, you can stop at a nature reserve of natural Cotswold limestone grassland. The first half of the walk follows Shakespeare's Way.
Circular Walk from Sugarswell Business Park to Shenington
This is lovely walk through the rolling hills and valleys in North West Oxfordshire. Starting at the Monkeybean Café on the Sugarswell Business Park. OX1 5 6HW . The walk follows the Macmillan Way and descends towards Alkerton before climbing up to Shenington before returning to Sugaswell Business Park.
Tysoe Road via Compton Wynyates, Warwickshire
This is an easy minor road walk over the rolling hills of South Warwickshire. The walk starts in Tysoe and climbs up to White House with splendid views over rolling hills, descending past the historic Compton Wynyates before returning to Tysoe.
Todenham, Lower Leamington Aston Magna Gloucestershire
This delightful walk, on road and field paths, taking in the three villages of Todenham, Lower Leamington and Aston Magna, which lie North West of Morton in the Marsh and South West of Shipston, has a lot of interest to see.
Sunrising Hill to Edgehill and Upton house
Splendid walk in South East Warwickshire starting at the top of Sunrising Hill in a lay-by, then along the Cotswold escarpment to reach Edgehill. Going south, the route eventually reaches Upton House NT car park. Returning by fields then along the escarpment, with excellent views to return to the lay-by.
Darlingscott to Stretton-on-Fosse circular
Walk in the rolling hills of South Warwickshire, starting in Dalingscott. A small amount of minor road, then tracks and footpaths to reach Compton Scorpion Manor. More field path from the highest point down to Stretton on Fosse. There is interesting history of this village by the Roman Fosse Way. Returning via field paths and minor roads to Darlingscott. The walk can start close to Way Mark 7, the pub The Plough good eating place.
