Eyzin-Pinet walks

Explore the old village of Pinet and its castles, then the Pinet tower, before descending through the forest and meadows, enjoying unobstructed views of the Pilat massif, the Monts du Lyonnais and Mont Verdun in the Monts d'Or.

On this fairly flat loop, you follow a stream and then a river where brown trout breed. You will discover some beautiful restored houses and mills, a spring, a lake... An easy, short and enjoyable hike, best done in good weather in summer when La Gère is low, due to the need to ford the river.

This is a varied hike that crosses the Blaches Forest via a wide track before descending to the Combe de Vau nature reserve with its beautiful rolling hills. The return journey takes you through the old hamlet of Pinet, where you can discover some historical curiosities. This hike is also suitable for mountain bikes.

You start by taking paths and small roads that wind through the peaceful Dauphiné countryside, then return through the beautiful Blaches Forest. There are no difficulties to report along this walk.

An easy walk in the village of Estrablin which, over the course of two hours, offers large open views over the surrounding hills and mountains. We mainly take small peaceful tarmacked country lanes, which means you can enjoy a walking excursion even after heavy rainfall and when the paths are almost impassable.

The passage on the (private) path from (1) seems to be causing problems. In the meantime: at the fork, 400 m before this waypoint (1), turn right (Chemin des Frères) then left onto the D167 and further on you will find the waypoint (2).

Walk around Jardin, passing by the old Roman aqueduct, the old church, the Montléant Tower and the old school. At the Jardin library, a small book entitled JARDIN AU CŒUR DU TEMPS (Jardin Through Time) allows you to discover and learn more about all the monuments: the aqueducts, the Montléans Tower, the two churches, the old school, and the old Bérardier wash house.

This circular route connects the Gère valley to the Malissol neighbourhood. It follows a path along the banks of the Gère, part of which is in the Malissol forest, near the fitness trail, and some more rocky sections in the heart of the Malissol neighbourhood. A family walk with a slight incline, best done with flat, closed-toe shoes (forest trails).

A hike that almost exclusively uses small roads without traffic, providing a route where the paths are not an option. We start in Vienne and experience its panoramic views of Notre-Dame de Pipet and the Vienne hills with beautiful views of the Rhône Valley and the Pilat massif at the bottom. The return journey takes you through the homes on the Vienne heights while maintaining good views of the Viennoise hills.

This is an easy, short walk that allows you to discover the charming village of Revel-Tourdan and enjoy beautiful panoramic views.

A circular that can be done at any time of year, allowing you to discover and visit the pretty Dauphiné village of Revel. The ridge path at the start, along with the flat section in the second part of the route, allow you to enjoy landscapes stretching from the Alps to the Massif Central. Best done on days before rain to ensure clear skies, offering superb, far-reaching and unobstructed views.

Ninth stage of the Way of St James. This stage allows you to continue your journey through the Isère countryside. Between small country roads and wooded paths, the route offers lovely open landscapes with the Massif Central and the Alps in the background. In terms of heritage, the Chapel of La Salette, Surieu Monastery and the crossing of the high-speed rail line between Paris, Lyon and Marseille mark the route.

In autumn, the Fromentaux woods are full of chestnuts. In good weather, you can see Mont Blanc and the Alps from the heights. The route also takes us to the small spring at Maison Badin, passes through La Beaume and Les Combes, crosses the small stream of La Vesonne and returns via the peaceful By pond. We also walk alongside numerous meadows where horses graze.

A short walk on quiet tarmac roads and dry paths but with no shade (so best avoided in summer). Near the Croix de Bénédict, there are two orientation tables with views of the Monts du Lyonnais and the Bugey mountains, as well as the Alps, the Chartreuse and the Vercors.

A lovely, varied walk through the valleys surrounding the Sanne, on the edge of the Rhône valley. It offers beautiful views and passes by two pretty chapels. Please note! This walk is not recommended on days with heavy rain, as there are three fords to cross.
