Park in the Charantonnay school car park.
(S/E) Leave the car park heading north towards the church (Montée du Mollard). Walk past the church. Take the first lane on the left. The tarmac immediately gives way to a gravel road. Your path winds its way across the plain for a while.
(1) You will come to a small road, which you take on the right (ignore the yellow cross on a post).
(2) You will come to a complex crossroads. Leave the road on your right and, at the fork just after, take the right-hand branch (in front of you) and immediately turn right (you are walking eastwards).
Quite quickly, you will leave your road to take another small road on the left and pass in front of the Malatrait farm (sign).
(3) You arrive at the hamlet of Jacqueron. Take the first lane on the right (signposted Chemin du Langot). At a T-junction, turn right.
(4) You will arrive at a very pretty pond. Turn left (Chemin des Grenouilles) and pass several private ponds.
(5) You will come to another complex crossroads (signposted "Chemin de Roche", opposite on the left). Ignore this road coming from the left. At the fork immediately after, take the gravel path on the right.
You will come out onto another path and turn right (yellow markings).
Ignore a grassy path on the left and another path on the right. Your path leads you into the forest. Go straight ahead at the crossroads.
(6) Once you leave the woods, you will come to Chemin du Mariage. Turn left (yellow markings). When the road turns downhill to the right, take the gravel and grassy path in front of you (yellow markings). Pass to the left of a house before descending steeply.
(7) You will return to the small road you just left. Turn left (signposted "Côte de Varvaray"). Descend until you reach a T-junction. Take the urbanised lane on the right, which will take you back to the foot of the church, to the school car park (S/E).
