Car park at the southern exit of Sasbach towards Jechtingen, Dorfinsel road in front of the sports hall. If there are no spaces, there is parking 100 m further along the dyke.
(S/E) Take the street opposite the car park (im Bergle), cross the main road and, after a bend, you will come to a level crossing.
(1) Continue straight ahead on the path, ignore the road on the right towards Leiselheim and continue to the junction with a road (L105).
After the last houses, one of which has a statue of an elephant, you will pass a series of orchards (cherry, apple, etc.) and a few walnut trees.
(2) Follow the road for about 200 metres to the left, then cross it carefully and take the path that goes up opposite (on the right-hand side). You will arrive at the vineyard.
(3) After the first left turn, turn right and continue along a large embankment for about 1 km until you reach another fork.
(4) Turn left and continue straight ahead on the path.
(5) Take a sharp right turn, heading south, ignore the path on the left and arrive at another fork.
(5) Continue to the right and head towards the forest (follow the signs for Hüttenbühl). This will be the only real climb.
(6) The path turns left and runs alongside a ravine, then enters the forest and reaches the highest point of the hike.
(7) Continue to the right. Be careful, as the path can be slippery on wet days. You will arrive at the edge of the forest.
(8) Be careful, the yellow diamond-marked path is not immediately visible. Turn left and take the path on the right which descends slightly, then takes a circular turn to the left following the yellow diamond and joins a road.
(9) Follow it to the left and enter Leiselheim. Depending on the season, you can admire the magnificent giant holly tree before the crossroads. The street names are written in Gothic script.
(10) Cross the main road (Meerweinstrasse), then after a few dozen metres, turn left up Gestuhlstrasse. Ignore Untere-Gasse and Obere-Gasse and you will come to a path on the right.
(11) Turn onto this path and climb towards the chair (it is signposted). After about 300 metres, turn left and you will see the chair. Stuhl, a giant chair set up to mark the vintage of the wine.
This has nothing to do with the name "kaiserstuhl". Emperor Otto III administered justice at this location.

(12) Continue to the right, then along the vineyards on a grassy path and along the hill.
(13) At the end of the path, turn right and then left, cross a road and continue with the Yellow Diamond towards Sasbach. The railway line is in sight.
(14) Turn right onto a small shortcut that runs alongside the first house. Return to the level crossing from the outward journey.
(1) Turn left and, following the same route as on the way there, return to the car park in front of the sports hall (S/E).
