Start: Kenzingen railway station (Eisenbahnstr. 51, 79341 Kenzingen)
(S/E) The walk starts at Kenzingen railway station and leads straight out of town along Eisenbahnstraße, Brotstraße and Üsenbergerstraße, then across meadows and fields to the ‘Nestbruch’ woodland car park. Who can spot the most animals along the way (chickens, fallow deer, emus, frogs, sheep, ducks, …)?
(1) From the woodland car park, we head right into the woods, where we can take a detour along the barefoot trail (‘Sensitiv-Pfad’). We then continue through the woods, past hidden picnic spots, a shelter and sun loungers. Along the way, we’ll learn about different types of trees.
(2) At the crossroads behind the shelter, we turn right, then right again, and then left.
(3) The highlight of our walk will be the detour to the forest climbing park (https://www.abenteuer-im-wald.de). There, we can let off some steam before heading back home. Our path takes us to the left, past the climbing park.
(3) We continue straight on to Nestbruchweg and turn left there, heading back to the woodland car park (1). From here, we follow the familiar path back to the starting point (S/E)
