Parking area at the Vogelgrun community hall car park, Rue de l'Étang.
(S/E) Head towards the village centre via Rue de l'Étang. At the roundabout, continue straight on along Rue du Rhin, then turn left onto Rue de la Paix, and you will soon reach a four-way junction.
(1) Turn right and follow the small canal on your right. At the next junction, go straight on until you reach the end of Rue de l'École.
(2) Take the cycle path on the right, go under the road bridge, and continue left onto the road running beneath the high-voltage power line. You’ll reach the junction by the Volgelsheim village hall.
(3) Head straight ahead onto Rue de la Forêt Noire, towards Neuf-Brisach, and at the three-way junction, keep right and head towards the railway line.
(4) Just before the railway line, take the path running alongside it, towards Neuf-Brisach.
(5) When you reach the school, cross the road and take the cycle path opposite.
(6) When you reach the gatekeeper’s house, cross the road and head down to the foot of the ramparts to go round the village and reach a road. Continue to the right and follow the road to the next junction, at the entrance to a cemetery.
(7) Take the cycle path on the right, which runs alongside the cemetery on your left, then the railway line on your right, and continue to the next level crossing.
(8) Ignore it and turn left. At the end of Rue du Canal, turn left and, opposite Wolfgantzen Town Hall, take the first turn right then left and continue along Rue du Champs de Tir, reaching No. 13 and a three-way junction.
(9) Take the cycle path between the two roads and carry straight on. Leave the village and reach the edge of the forest. Keep to the right and reach the second fork.

(10) Turn right, then left, and head straight on, through the forest, then between the fields, until you reach a multi-way junction at the first houses in Sundhoffen. Take the third road on the right, and you’ll soon reach a roundabout.

(11) Cross the roundabout and take the dirt track on the right, which runs alongside the Ill, and follow it to the gate of the campsite in Horbourg.
(12) Take the steps on the right and follow the street (Impasse des Violettes) as it continues, then turn left onto Rue des Roses. Head straight on until the end of Rue de Colmar, at the bridge over the Ill.
(13) Cross the road and head opposite, onto Rue de l'Abattoir. At the three-way junction, keep left and follow the river until you reach the lock on the Canal de Colmar.
(14) Continue straight ahead, staying on the right bank, and follow the cycle path towards Artzenheim.
(15) Cross the road and continue along the cycle path, following the canal, until you reach a three-way junction with a left-hand turn that takes you under the bridge.
(16) Keep left and continue towards Kunheim. Continue along the bank to reach the junction of the Canal de Colmar with the Canal du Rhône au Rhin, and stay along the latter until you find a footbridge a few metres before a bridge.
(17) Take this to the left and continue between the two canals. Then keep left and continue along the Neuf Brisach Canal on your left. Pass under a bridge and past a rest area, and reach the D52.
(18) Stay on the cycle path and continue straight on towards Biesheim until you reach the town sign, 200 m before a roundabout.
(19) Turn onto the small road on the right and, at the end of it, keep to the right. Cross the bridge over the Giessen and, at the next junction, turn left onto Rue du Général Beaupuy, towards Volgelsheim.
(20) At no. 13, turn left onto Rue du Fort Mortier, pass the crucifix (Croix de la Fièvre) and then, at the next junction, turn left. Walk alongside the fields of the Bio Pulvermühle farm to reach the first houses of the village of Volgelsheim. Take Rue de la Paix, opposite, and follow it to the town hall.
(3) Turn left and follow the route back along the same path as on the way out, until you reach the junction after passing under the road bridge.
(2) Continue straight on and, at the end of Rue des Blés, turn right. At the multi-way junction, Place des Bouleaux, turn left and, opposite the town hall, left again onto Place du Souvenir. Pass by the foot of the bell tower and continue along Rue des Sapins. At the end, turn left, then left again to rejoin the route you have already taken.
(1) Head straight ahead, cross the small bridge; at the end of Rue de la Paix, turn right, and follow the route in the opposite direction to the outward journey, until you reach the Vogelgrun community hall on Rue de l'Étang (S/E).
