Liliental via Neunlindenturm tower

Start: Zur Lilie café - Liliental car park

(S/E) From one of the car parks, walk to the road junction. On your right, spot an information board a fountain, and Zur Lilie restaurant. Go straight toward "Lilientalweg" road to walk past a building and car park on your right. You are now on a lane where there is a little bit of traffic so please stay safe. On your way up, walk past Hofgut Lilienhof on your right.

(1) Just past it as the lane curves left, take right on the footpath following "Martinshof Schenke" yellow waymarker. You are now entering some woodlands. As you walk up, enjoy some views of a property and garden on your left.

(2) At the path junction turn right and walk downhill still following the yellow waymarker. Then take the further left path close to the crops to walk down into the woods. Be careful here, look at the map. You must follow the yellow sign "Rundweg" as the path curves South.

(3) At the bottom, reach a path junction and turn right still following the yellow waymarkers "Rundweg ". Cross a field/orchard to go slightly right uphill at the Y-junction. You find yourself on a single track into the woods. On the way, ignore two side paths and carry on following the "Rundweg yellow" waymarkers as you exit the woods and reach the vineyard. Here at the junction, you have a bench on your left with a nice view. Keep walking straight ahead towards another wooden bench and the yellow waymarker. The path goes downhill among the vineyard.

(4) At the bottom, you reach a junction where you keep walking downhill. At the next T-junction, turn left still following the "Rundweg" yellow sign until you reach a road and some houses in front of you. Turn right following "Winzerrindweg Odt" yellow waymarker and walk uphill.

(5) At the next junction keep right then further on keep left then straight.

(6) Then keep right following the yellow sign. At the next junction, keep straight on the main wide path between vines. and walk past a little hut.

(7) At the next junction, turn left following the yellow diamond. Walk South-Westward then at the junction
junction keep left downhill towards the shelter located in front of you. Here you follow the black arrow waymarker. Past the shelter, at the junction, keep right following yellow diamond and black arrow waymarkers. Then keep following the yellow diamond walking downhill.

(8) On the way down, be careful. At a Y-junction keep right (West) on the footpath. Walk along this path until you reach a road. Walk up along the road aiming for the flashy blue building.

If you miss the turn you will end up joining the road at the bottom and you will have to turn right to walk uphill again to join the path you missed.

Keep following the yellow diamond up the road as it curves. At the top of the hill, you reach a junction and car park in front of you. Turn right here at the white signpost towards "Neunlindenturn" and the hut. On the way uphill, enjoy a viewpoint on your right.

(9) At the top of the hill, turn left still following the yellow diamond, and reach a restaurant "Lenzenberg". A nice spot for a drink or meal. You can also find toilets here. When you are done, carry on walking uphill into the woods. This junction is quite long without any turns. In spring, it's one of the best spots to find wild garlic.

(10) At the following junction with a signpost and table, walk straight North toward "Neunlindenturm".

(11) At the 4-way path junction keep straight up North following the yellow diamond. At the next 3 junctions, again keep straight ahead uphill ignoring side paths toward "Neunlindentrun".

(12) As you reach a path junction where you start to spot a tower, keep right up to it. Enjoy the view from the top of the tower. Do not forget to close both doors after enjoying. Then walk past it to walk downhill. Be careful here as it is quite steep and slippery when wet.

(13) At the next junction with a signpost, keep straight towards "Liliental", following the yellow diamond. Keep straight at the next junction then right towards "Liliental". At the bottom of the hill, there is a wide path junction. Turn right downhill.

(15) At the junction, turn left still downhill, and keep walking as you reach an open area with new plantations.

(16) At the T-junction turn left still walking downhill. From there, keep walking straight, ignoring side paths, until you reach a second pond on your left-hand side.

(17) At the junction bear right and walk back to the start and car park. (S/E)
