A long but magnificent hike. The route takes you through woodland and then along the ridge, offering superb views of the Dents de Lanfont,the Dent de Cruet, the Tournette, the lovely stretch at the Pas de l’Aulp, and finally the return via the Chalet des Crottes and the Combe Noire Forest.

A pleasant route using the stream and Diable footbridges to access Fort Victor-Emmanuel, Fort Charles-Felix and Fort Marie-Christine. On the way back, visit the pretty Saint-Benoit waterfall.

From the Pré à l’Ours car park, you reach the Chalet du Petit Novard, before coming out at the Croix de Colomban. A stop is a must to admire the view. In no time at all you’ll reach the Chalet de Colomban, situated on the plateau, which offers unobstructed views of the surrounding mountains. You’ll then have a short climb to reach the highest point, taking the Frêtes ridge path. Return via the Maisons du Bois Nord, skirting the Plateau des Follières.

This is a must-see pass in the Cévennes, reached by a 15 km climb with an average gradient of 7%, followed by a beautiful descent to Génolhac. The return journey involves a short climb towards Concoules, followed by a much easier section to Villefort.

The route via the Pas du Roc – a path carved into the rock, well secured – offers a magnificent view of the waterfall, which can be reached via a short detour. After the Pas du Roc viewpoint, at a junction at a place called La Source, a short circular route begins via the Montagne des Frêtes to the Champ Laitier valley, which you will then descend to return to your starting point.

This cycle route climbs towards the Col de Saint-Jean-de-Sixt, then descends through the entire Vallée du Borne. Towards La Roche-sur-Foron, it then follows small roads before reaching the Col de Fleury. It descends to the village of Thorens-Glières, continues towards Aviernoz, and reaches the village of Naves-Parmelan. The route then turns towards Dingy Saint-Clair, La Balme de Thuy, and reaches the centre of Thônes via a cycle path.

This circuit passes through the Col du Marais, the Col de l'Épine and, after a beautiful descent, crosses Marlens. At the roundabout, a cycle path joins and runs alongside Lake Annecy, then climbs up the Côte de Talloires to reach Menthon-Saint-Bernard. All that remains is to climb the Col de Bluffy to reach the Thônes side.

This route passes through the Col du Marais, joins the cycle path that takes you to Ugine, where the climb to Hery and Flumet begins. Then, the Route des Gorges de l'Arrondine leads to La Giettaz, the start of the tough climb up the Col des Aravis. All that remains then is the descent, which passes successively through La Clusaz and Saint-Jean-de-Sixt before reaching Thônes.

This easy route offers beautiful views of Pointe Percée and a pleasant stop at Col des Annes, where inns and restaurants await you with regional specialities. An educational platform has also been installed with information on the karstic relief.

A route via the Col de Tamié with an easy climb, a brief visit to Tamié Abbey and Tamié Fort, followed by a short push up to the small pass of Tamié, then a lovely descent to Chevronnet. Next comes a slightly steeper climb towards the Col du Vorger, followed by a descent via Thénésol. The return journey follows a cycle path that passes beneath Ugine, where a short stop is a must at a rest area with a lovely lake.

The signposted route starts on a track and then leads through the Bois de la Motte to a place called Passage aux Veaux, which marks the start of the ‘Mountain’ route. At the Chalet de la Creuse, you’ll head into the Creuse valley, following a route marked by cairns until you reach the Porte des Aravis, the highest point of the hike. This is a round-trip hike.

This route, starting from Sillingy, begins in the north of the Albanais region, passes through Copponex in the Vuache valley, then goes via the Pont de la Caille in Allonzier. The return route takes you through the village of Rossy and past its small château. This route is very hilly.
