Paid parking from 2 May to 15 September since 2022 at the Col de la Forclaz.
(S/E) From the car park, take the road downhill towards Montmin, then at the ski lift, at the signpost, leave the road via a path on your right. Pass the hamlet of Les Platons and join the small hamlet of La Côte.
(1) In the centre of the hamlet, take a path on the left (signpost) which joins the Route de la Forclaz (D42). Cross the road with caution and take the path opposite which leads to the Nant de Montmin footbridge.
(2) The path then runs alongside the stream, moving away from it slightly on a steeper climb, then crossing it via a small bridge at a place called Les Courtes: you will then arrive at Les Prés Ronds.
(3) Turn left, then immediately right towards the Refuge du Pré Vérel. At the refuge, turn right onto the path that joins a wide track further up. Continue uphill on this track, which leads easily to the Col de l'Aulp.
(4) Stay on the track to quickly reach the Chalet de l'Aulp.
(5) Then return to the pass.
(4) Follow a path on the right along the ridge, which then enters the forest and passes under the Rocher du Roux. A passage with a cable allows you to pass without difficulty.
(6) At the Collet des Charmes, make a round trip to climb up to the viewpoint overlooking Lake Annecy and La Tournette. Return to the trail and continue right to the Col de la Rochette.
(7) Turn right to reach the Pointe de la Rochette.
(8) After enjoying the view, turn back.
(7) Back at the pass, take the path on the right, which then becomes a wider track.
(9) At the hairpin bend, leave this path on the right and take a trail that leads to the paragliding launch site. Continue downhill to the small car park.
(10) Turn right, then bear left onto a path that cuts across the hairpin bends of the access road to the paragliding launch site, rejoining it further down at the Chalet de la Pricaz. Continue downhill to the right to reach the D42 and the car park (S/E).
