Régalon Gorges
This is a classic hike that can become very difficult in bad weather and when there is water.
You are entering the Luberon State Biological Reserve and National Geological Nature Reserve. This site is extremely fragile and difficult to access in some places. Please respect this area. (see practical information).

The Fossat valley and Pierre-sur-Haute from the Col du Béal
A beautiful circular walk starting from the Fossat valley.
Chamouse Mountain
This is a very beautiful, uncrowded walk offering remarkable landscapes for most of the route.
Montagne d'Outray
A superb hike offering magnificent scenery. Mont Blanc is omnipresent! The view of the Beaufortain and its dams is also worth the detour.
Roc de la Pêche refuge
This is a long and very beautiful snowshoe hike with superb scenery and the chance to see chamois.
Chabre Mountain
This is a lovely walk to discover the Montagne de Chabre, which offers beautiful scenery, especially along the ridge. You can see many hang-gliders heading towards Les Espranons.
La Bourgeoise
This is a fairly short walk with no real difficulty. There are beautiful views for much of the route and the scenery at the top is superb.
Lac de Gers
This is a fairly short, easy walk. The mountain pasture and lake are magnificent, but the access path, which is sometimes quite muddy, is mainly in the forest and offers few views.
Crête de la Gardette
This is a beautiful, easy hike offering stunning scenery for most of the route, ending with views over the Lac de Serre-Ponçon valley as far as Gap.
Col de la Ruchère
This is a lovely, easy snowshoe walk, mainly through forest. The Col de la Ruchère, at the foot of the Petit Som, is a truly beautiful part of the Chartreuse.
Réallon - Font Renarde loop
This is a pleasant walk with beautiful scenery along most of the route. The Font Renarde hut, below the Aiguilles de Chabrières, is in a truly superb spot.
Vallon de Chargès
A beautiful, wild valley to explore on a round trip. It's a fairly easy walk to the Cabane du Pré d'Antoni, after which it gets a little steeper. The scenery is superb from start to finish. It's also a well-known spot for spotting chamois.
Serre-Ponçon Lake - Between Baie Saint-Michel and Baie des Moulettes
This walk allows you to discover the Lac de Serre-Ponçon with some fairly wild sections. It also offers magnificent views of the surrounding peaks.
Plat Aiguille viewpoint
A very pleasant walk in a beautiful forest, enjoying the shade in summer or the beautiful autumn colours.
Serre-Verger Wood
A pleasant walk to enjoy the shade in summer or the beautiful autumn colours, with a few lovely views of Lake Serre-Ponçon.
Réallon – Les Gourniers – Le Bourget circular
A short, easy snowshoe walk offering some beautiful views and accessible to most people.
Mont Dauphin via the marmot trail
A fairly short and very pleasant walk that allows you to visit Mont-Dauphin in a different way. You can see many marmots, which are not very shy, at the bottom of the trail.
Belvédère de l'Homme de Pierre
This is a beautiful route with no real difficulties, offering magnificent scenery along most of the way. The 360° view from the Homme de Pierre viewpoint is truly spectacular. The Martinat ridge also offers superb panoramic views.
The different aspects of Cap d'Agde
This walk allows you to discover the different facets of Cap d'Agde, with 95% of the route on foot (no cars). You start by walking through the pine forest before strolling along the quays. Then you come to the sea wall and cliffs before reaching the beach.
Summit of Méale
A lovely loop walk, fairly well shaded, but still offering numerous views along most of the route. The view from the summit is remarkable.
Circular between Laragne-Montéglin and Upaix
A pleasant circular walk that allows you to visit the beautiful hilltop village of Upaix from Laragne. A fairly shaded route that nevertheless offers some very pretty views.
The Balcony of Cristillan
A very beautiful, easy walk through old hamlets and magnificent landscapes. The path is always fairly wide and without any significant slopes, making it ideal for snowshoeing.
Riou Gorges and Revuaire summit
A varied loop in the Baronnies Provençales, which runs through pretty gorges and then to a summit with beautiful panoramic views.
Rocher Saint Michel in Orpierre
A beautiful, fairly shaded walk with plenty of lovely views. The 360° panorama at the summit is remarkable. Everything is very well marked and signposted. Some sections are very steep, especially on the descent.
Circular walk between Laragne-Montéglin and Arzeliers
A pleasant circular route that takes you to Arzeliers Castle from Laragne. A fairly shaded route which nevertheless offers some very pretty views.
Crête des Baumes via small pass du Tat
This is a circular walk with no real difficulties except for the steep climb between small pass du Tat and the summit of Crête des Baumes. You can enjoy magnificent scenery for almost the entire hike.
Serre de Malamort
The Serre de Malamort ridge is a remarkable balcony offering superb views, particularly of Dévoluy, Les Écrins and the Durance valley. The route often passes through woodland, so you can enjoy the beautiful colours of autumn.
Around Mison Castle
A very pleasant, undulating and varied walk, without difficulty and well signposted. You can enjoy beautiful landscapes throughout the route, as well as at the castle.
Gorges du Gouravour and Lac de Peyssier
A lovely, very pleasant walk, quite varied, without difficulty and well marked. You can enjoy beautiful scenery for most of the route.
Saléon Plateau
A pleasant walk with no real difficulty provided the ground is dry. The route offers plenty of variety, taking in the banks of the Céans, the forest and then cultivated fields, whilst offering beautiful scenery. What’s more, everything is very well signposted.
Balconies of Arzeliers
A lovely walk, offering great variety in terms of scenery and the paths taken, where you are regularly treated to lovely views of the Saint-Genis mountain, the Lure mountain, Lake Lazer with the Ubaye in the background, or the Écrins.
Summit of Pirivigier - Grand Serre
A pleasant walk with no real difficulty, apart from a few steep sections. You’ll enjoy superb views for most of the way. The whole section above Grange Neuve is fairly well signposted.
Riou Gorges via the Castle
A lovely walk offering great variety in terms of the surroundings and the paths taken: marl, cliffs, forest, viewpoints and steep riverbanks.
Antonaves–Méouge circular loop
A lovely, fairly varied walk that takes you to the Méouge Gorges from Antonaves. There are plenty of scenic viewpoints along the route.
Rouanne Valley
A lovely, easy snowshoe walk with very little elevation gain, which makes it very pleasant. You walk along the Rouanne stream, often through woodland, but are regularly treated to lovely views.
Circular route via Moissière from Ancelle
This is a lovely, very pleasant snowshoe circular route, particularly along the stream. You walk partly through the undergrowth but still enjoy lovely views, especially around the mountain pasture. We did it in early March and there was still plenty of snow.
Balcon du Lac d'Esparron
This is a very pleasant walk, with no real difficulty, offering views of Lake Esparron for most of the route. You can enjoy superb scenery as you climb up onto the plateau. There is a chance to swim if you follow the lake shore.
Muletiers Trail in Sainte-Croix-du-Verdon
This is a lovely walk starting from the village of Sainte Croix; it is short and easy, offering superb views over the largest lake in the Lower Verdon. You’ll enjoy unobstructed views for most of the route.
