There are several car parks south of Port Ambonne.
(S/E) We left the holiday village area (Avenue de la Butte) and took the path parallel to the Lano passage. Go around the CCAS camp for 350 metres.
(1) Turn right. Cross Avenue des Soldats and take the Guilleminet passage, following the signs for Port de la Clape. Cross Avenue des Cantinières. Continue towards the museum, which will be on your right.
(2) Head towards the footbridge, cross it and join the quays, which you follow on the left.
(3) Walk along the technical area of the port, following the footpath marked on the ground. You will come out onto Avenue de la Jetée, which you take on the right.
(4) Turn right onto Allée des Dykes and follow the quay on your left again.
(5) Go around a basin to reach the sea wall and follow it to the end. You will find yourself at the harbour exit opposite Fort Brescou. Retrace your steps and continue straight ahead on Rue de l'Estacade.
(6) Turn right onto Allée des Phocéens and head towards Cap d'Agde (orientation table).
(7) From the cape, head north along the coast. You will first walk along the cliffs, then the landscape becomes less wild before you reach the sandy beaches that you will follow.
(8) When you reach the canal that serves Port Ambonne, take the path on the left. Cross two small bridges and rejoin the path parallel to the Passage de Lano.
(1) Continue straight ahead along the Passage de Lano you took at the start and you will come to the holiday village district (S/E).
