Head to Saléon, north-west of Laragne. From the D1075 in Eygians, at the traffic lights, head towards Orpierre. At the first roundabout, turn left onto the D130b towards Saléon. Continue uphill through this old hilltop village and carry on to the church car park.
(S/E) After enjoying the view over the Buech valley, with your back to the church, return to the D130b and head back down to the bridge over the Céans.
(1) Take the path on the left which starts just before the bridge (yellow markings). Head uphill through the forest along the right bank of the river to the old aqueduct. This part of the walk has a few slippery sections when it’s wet.
(2) At the aqueduct, the path branches off to the left and continues uphill through the forest.
(3) Near a stream, turn left, then take the right-hand fork and continue to a pumping station.
(4) Turn right and head due south along a wide forest track. Walk along this pleasant track, which is virtually flat. Pass a pond surrounded by wire fencing and continue in the same direction (yellow markings).
(5) After a descent that is a little steep in places, the path takes a wide left-hand bend and heads due north this time. Walk uphill, passing close to the Rabasse farm, where you’ll come to a tarmac road.
(6) Carry on in the same direction until you reach the church car park, which you’ll reach after two hairpin bends (S/E).
