Around Alboussière: the Megaliths and the Rocking Stone

A pleasant walk in the Ardèche countryside, sometimes on small paved roads, but also on beautiful forest paths.
In Champis - La Bâtie de Crussol, a short detour will take you to the Pierre Branlante (rocking stone), then on the way back, you will see some megaliths in the meadows.
Trails and Belvédère de l'Eyrieux

The start of the route is flat on the Dolce Via, then climbs up paths and tracks through old terraced farms above the Eyrieux Valley. On the way, there is a short tarmac detour to the Belvédère de l'Eyrieux to enjoy the superb view.
After passing two well-restored hamlets, a pleasant descent takes you to a beautiful little waterfall before returning to Moulinon.
L'Orsanne in Saint-Sauveur de Montagut

The first part takes place in the forest, where only birdsong disturbs the peace and quiet of the area. The second part follows theGR®42andGR®42Btrails, offering beautiful views of the Ardèche mountains, the Vernoux valley and the Rhône valley.
Pierregourde Castle is very close to this circuit.

The Chemin des Conchis is a beautiful place to gallop. The route passes through several hamlets and farms with dogs that may be running free.

Le Grand Clos and Jamaysse
This walk on the Jameysse hillside, starting from the football stadium, is ideal for summer because much of the walk is in the shade of the woods on wide paths. The only technical points on the walk are crossing the main road, where there is heavy traffic, and passing in front of the sawmill, where there can be a lot of vehicle and lorry activity. The time indicated can be shortened depending on your pace.
Tour of Labatie via Le Sauze and Bouton
This circuit offers a tour opposite the village of Desaignes, then heads into the Bel-Air woods before climbing up to the heights of Labatie. The route allows you to stop at the Labatie lake, which is not really on the route. You will pass along wooded ridge paths and more panoramic tracks.

A very pleasant route through the Ardèche forest and its peaceful little hamlets. The omnipresent calm allows you to recharge your batteries and become one with nature.

Beautiful views around Saint-Romain-de-Lerps

A lovely hike offering beautiful views of the Rhône Valley, the Alps and the Ardèche. A 15-minute drive from Valence, this hike leads you around the beautiful surroundings of this small village. Note that Saint-Romain-de-Lerps is one of the classic walks in the area, because there is a beautiful lookout point with a chapel, 2 orientation tables and a picnic area alongside.
Loop via Tauzuc from Saint-Pierreville

A beautiful hike in the Ardèche, sometimes along ridges and sometimes under chestnut trees. The hamlets of Tauzuc and Serre de Tauzuc are worth seeing... Especially when a deer appears and then disappears, as shy as ever.
The Serre de l'Église and the Grottes de la Jaubernie

Apart from the distance, this is an easy hike on good trails through typical Ardèche landscapes. At the summit, there are beautiful views of the Rhône and Ouvèze valleys and, at the end of the walk, you can discover the famous Jaubernie caves, which served as troglodyte dwellings for Protestants driven out of Privas during the Wars of Religion.
Rochebloine, Col du Buisson, La Chaux from Noziéres

A pleasant walk around Nozières, going as far as the Col du Buisson and returning via the highest point in the commune.
Le Vieux Rompon and the balconies of the Ouvèze

Discover the ruins of the Couvent des Chèvres overlooking the Rhône valley and then the hamlet of Vieux Rompon. The return trail is a pleasant walk along the cliffs above the Ouvèze with magnificent views.
Le Serre du Gouvernement at Pouzin

This is a very pleasant walk that quickly takes you to the Grads plateau, which overlooks Pouzin and the confluence of the Ouvèze and Rhône rivers. The path overlooking the Ouvèze valley is very pleasant but may be vertiginous for some. The ridges offer a beautiful panoramic view of the Baronnies and the Vercors.
Never stray from the route, which is now very well marked.
Serre de Pied-de Boeuf

A very beautiful hike offering exceptional and magnificent panoramic views of the Alps, Mont Blanc, Dévoluy, Vercors, etc., and allowing you to alternate between varied basalt and agricultural landscapes. You will also pass by the site of an ancient tomb, which is well worth a visit.
Château de Bel-Air from Le Bosc

This route takes you to the charming Bel-Air valley and its castle, as well as several beautiful views over the Doux valley (Vallée du Doux). With low elevation gain and easy-to-navigate paths, this walk is accessible to everyone.
