Bouton walk starting from Le Vergier

The indicated starting point is Le Vergier (equestrian centre). It is possible to start from the football stadium (1): parking is very easy.

(S/E) Follow the road to the stadium.

(1) Just after the hairpin bend and just before the stadium, take the road on the right. Then continue along the track that leads closer to the Doux river. You will arrive at a road.

(2) Follow this fairly busy road to the right. Cars drive a little fast on this section, so be careful.

(3) At the crossroads, turn right and drive through the hamlet of Grangeon.

(4) Leave the road by taking the path on the right that passes through the middle of a field. The path passes through a park where there are sometimes cows, but there are gates in the fences that allow you to enter and exit. Go uphill and reach the hamlet of Bouton.

(5) Continue to the right. This Chemin des Conchis is a lovely place to gallop.

(6) At the intersection with the road, follow it to the left. At the fork, take the road on the right towards the hamlet of Coution.

(7) Go through the hamlet and keep going on the path.

(8) A track branches off to the left towards Tréneyre. Follow the road downhill to the right into the woods.

(9) On the descent, follow the first path on the left. Join a road at Les Auches.

(10) Follow it to the right to rejoin the Vergier (S/E).

The path through the hamlet of Bouton crosses a park where there are sometimes cows. The gates can be opened and closed without any problem.

The last part of the walk takes you through farms and hamlets typical of the region.

The medieval village of Désaignes is worth a visit.
