Park at the Boucillon chalets, please note: there is no public car park.
(S/E) Take Route de Boucillon uphill and reach the houses at Sablouse. Continue uphill until you reach a junction with a water tank.
(1) Take the path behind this reservoir, continue uphill and reach a road and theGR®®427.
(2) Here you have two options:
- take theGR®® marked in white and red to the left, but there is a scree slope to climb. It is a very beautiful path, but more difficult. Follow the forest path to a car park before the hamlet of Les Buffes,
- take the road to the right; this is the route shown on the map. Pass the hamlet of Les Vauds. Then find a forest track and take it to the left to reach a ridge.
(3) Turn left, then follow a hairpin bend to the right to reach the highest point of the walk at the junction of several paths.
(4) Continue straight ahead along the path, begin the descent by skirting the Serre de Peyremoutier and then rejoin the discovery trail. Follow it to the left to reach the car park before the hamlet of Les Buffes.
(5) Continue downhill to the hamlet of Les Buffes.
(6) Take the path known as the Chemin de la Mine to the left, which starts below the road. Cross a cow pasture and descend along a pretty little valley. Reach the Ravin de Ribemale. Make a detour here to reach the waterfall.
(7) Head south along the stream and arrive at a hairpin bend on a tarmac road.
(8) Head down the road to the left and, at the bottom of this descent, reach the hamlet of Issantouans.
(9) Turn left to take the Dolce Via or greenway. Follow the right bank of the Eyrieux and reach the hamlet of La Ville, at a junction with a path to the left (restaurant).
(10) Leave the greenway here and turn left, cross the hamlet of Les Salins and continue along the Route des Salins to the junction with the D2.
(11) Take the D2 straight ahead, then turn left off it to take the Chemin de Garaud. A little further on, join the Route de Boucillon.
(12) Turn left onto this road and follow it to the car park at the Boucillon chalets (S/E).
