Departure from the football stadium, where it is possible to park a van.
(S/E) With your back to the river, set off along the Route des Presles, which runs alongside the Ruisseau de Treynières, and turn left at the first road towards a bridge.
(1) Continue along Chemin des Vignes alongside the Rivière le Doux (vehicle track) until you reach a fork.
(2) Keep left on Route de Bel-Air and arrive at the Grangeon crossroads.
(3) Continue straight on the road that crosses the Ruisseau de la Côte (be careful, cars drive fast here). Pass a small craft area: essential oil distillery, leather craft workshop, art bar. Ignore the access to La Côte and arrive at a fork.
(4) Keep left on Chemin de l'Hors, returning via the road on the right. Cross another stream and continue along this track, which is partly passable by vehicle. Continue through the woods, approaching the river.
(5) At the fork, take the path that climbs to the right and leads to a meadow; the lower path leads to private property. Arrive at the bridge over the Bel-Air stream.
(6) After crossing the bridge, arrive at the Sauze farm via a path that joins the road. Follow this road to the left, which forms a loop to reach Les Freydières.
(7) Leave the road via a path on the right that passes through sloping fields. This is a steep climb that will take you to the forest paths along the ridges. If you leave the route and continue along the road, you can stop at the Labatie lake. You will come to a fork.
(8) Continue straight ahead on the path that climbs into the woods, following the ridge. This path runs parallel to the road below and leads to a road called Chemin de la Simonde.
(9) Follow the road uphill, which forms a hairpin bend a little further up. Continue to the next hairpin bend.
(10) At the bend, follow a path that descends steeply to the right to a small bridge. The entire descent is on a track suitable for vehicles, which passes through several hamlets. Pass between the houses at Rabarin and arrive at a road in a bend
(11) Above the Château de Bel-air, at the end of the track, follow the road that descends to the right towards Rebailli and return to the fork in the road from the outward journey.
(4) Turn left and retrace your steps until you reach the Grangeon crossroads, which you also passed on the way there.
(3) Turn left, cross the hamlet and arrive at the start of a path next to a house on your left.
(12) Turn right onto the well-marked path that winds through the middle of the fields. Follow this track uphill into the woods. At the first intersection, turn right towards a fork.
(13) Follow the path on the left that climbs the most to Bouton. The path passes through a cow pasture where there are sometimes gates to open and close. Cross the hamlet by following the road on the right between the houses. You may encounter dogs and cats given the number of dwellings in the hamlet.
(14) Stay on the main path (the wide track) that passes over the stream. The path marked along the stream is almost invisible. Continue along Chemin des Conchis until you reach the sign for the hamlet of Coution.
(15) Take the road on the left, which will take you slightly to the right and through the hamlet. You will enjoy a magnificent view of the Desaignes valley.
(16) At the exit of the hamlet, take the grassy path on the left and head towards the Soins farm.
(17) Follow the main road after passing through the middle of the farm. There may be dogs. Stay on the tarmac road, which descends quite steeply to a path on the left.
(18) Leave the road and take the track that descends steeply to the left. The entrance to the path is a little stony, but the quality of the path improves considerably just after the Ruisseau de Treynières. Continue until you reach a road.
(19) Turn right and descend to the football stadium (S/E).
