A very pretty walk through the woodland that circles a legendary spot, the Salbert, near Belfort. A short detour to the viewing platform offers a superb 360° view of the Haute-Saône, beautiful lakes at the foot of the Vosges mountains, the town of Belfort and the Alps on a clear day. This walk is signposted.

This walk has been named the Marcel Lallemand Trail in honour of a tireless walker. An active community campaigner, he worked tirelessly to create and signpost walking routes in the Territoire de Belfort. A commemorative plaque has been erected near the Vierge d’Évette A hike that will take your breath away, stretching from Salbert Hill to the ‘blue line’ of the Vosges and the Étang du Malsaucy. Superb views of the Planche des Belles Filles and the Ballon d’Alsace.The trail is signposted.

Walk among the many ponds in the municipality of Evette-Salbert.

This unpretentious little walk will allow you to enjoy some lovely rural and woodland scenery just a stone’s throw from the centre of Belfort. As an added bonus, a few old boundary stones with engraved coats of arms mark the route.

This hike is the first of two stages linking the end of the Vosges crossing in Belfort to the start of the Grande Traversée du Jura (or GTJ on maps), located at the start of Mandeure. This hike is very cultural, starting in the historic town of Belfort. The first part takes you past three forts: Belfort, Basses Perches and Bosmont. The hike is never very far from urban areas and it is even possible to get there by TGV as the high-speed train passes through. It is a hike that alternates between woods, agricultural plains and villages of varying sizes, including Bourogne and its charming wash houses. The end of the hike is the most pleasant part of the route, crossing the dry grasslands of Bourogne and walking along the Rhône-Rhine Canal.

A short walk offering a chance to see structures dating from the late 19th century: an old lock, followed by Fort Salbert and its gun batteries, all set amongst meadows and pretty woodlands without any particular difficulties. This hike, starting from the commune of Lachapelle-sous-Chaux, takes you to the heart of the remarkable Étangs des Ayeux. It is located 8km north of Belfort. It is signposted.

An easy circular walk to explore the Coulée Verte along the Haute-Saône Canal and the village of Essert. This circular walk offers: - a rich heritage in the village of Essert, with its church, washhouse fountain, the Chapel of Notre-Dame-du-Vœux, and the Fort de l’Ouvrage de la Côte d’Essert, built in 1890, - stunning views over the valleys on the Essert and Chalonvillars sides.

A pleasant walk just a stone's throw from Belfort, in the vicinity of Châlonvillars and Evette-Salbert. You can discover beautiful countryside and forest landscapes, as well as the village of Châlonvillars with its church and beautiful wash house. Along the way, you will have superb views of the Southern Vosges with the Planche des Belles Filles and the Ballon d'Alsace.

A very lovely circular walk starting from Pérouse. Close to Belfort, it offers a chance to discover varied landscapes: the pretty village of Pérouse, farmland and beautiful forests. You’ll pass by the fortifications of Chèvremont and walk alongside the orchid meadow. This walk follows a section of the old military railway line that linked the forts together, and it is signposted.
