(S/E) Departure from the Malsaucy leisure centre car park: from the viewpoint on the Véronne, take the street on your left, which will lead you to the Malsaucy dyke: follow it to the lake inn.
(1) Turn right onto Rue de la Base Nautique and continue straight on until you reach the small ponds.
(2) The path enters the woods on the right. Cross two wetlands on pontoons (on your right, a short detour will take you to a viewpoint overlooking Malsaucy).
(3) At the junction with the path, turn left. When you leave the woods after the barrier, cross the railway line and continue along the gravel path and then the road.
(4) After the community hall on Rue des Taillis, turn right onto the dirt track, go down the valley, then back up and continue straight ahead on the tarmac road. Turn right twice to cross the bridge over the railway line.
(5) Take the path on the right, Rue de La Chapelle Sous Chaux. Continue straight ahead, ignoring the paths on the right and left, which only lead to private ponds. At the intersection with the tarmac road at Les Boulets, turn right and continue for 150 metres until you reach a small roundabout.
(6) At the roundabout, turn right onto Rue de Bellevue. You will rejoin theGR®5. At the next crossroads, take the third path on your right. Continue straight ahead at the various intersections.
(7) At the junction with the Tour de la Véronne, follow it and turn right at the observatory to reach the car park. (S/E)
