Park in the Véronne car park, which is very easy to find (follow the signs for Malsaucy from Belfort).
(S/E) From the Véronne car park, head west along Rue du Malsaucy, immediately turn right up the steps to the small viewpoint and then turn right again onto the ridge path of the Étang de la Véronne dam (GR®5). Cross the footbridge at the other end of the dam (the one on the left, do not take the cycle path on the right) and continue by turning left.
(1) Pass between the Étang de Véronne and the Étang de la Courbe Chaussée to reach the Étang Ludwig.
(2) Do not take the marked Tour de la Véronne trail on the left, but continue on theGR®5. Walk along Étang Ludwig and continue to Rue de Bellevue.
(3) Immediately turn left onto the Chemin de la Véronne. Continue along the main path downhill towards Malsaucy.
(4) See alternative route in Practical Information. Continue straight ahead on the path through the woods to continue the walk.
(5) At this crossroads, turn right to avoid the tarmac road and walk along the Étang du Malsaucy lake. You can stop at the Maison de l'Environnement, which the trail passes in front of. At the entrance to the Maison, continue the walk southwards by taking the wooden pontoon over the lake, then the path that crosses the lawns and Rue du Malsaucy to reach the car park at the entrance to the site (E).
