It offers a variety of landscapes and a great moment of nature after passing through the peaceful neighbourhoods of Arsac. The starting point is near the beautiful Saint-Germain church.

Lamarque loop via the ports of Lamarque and Arcins
Lamarque is located in the Médoc region, in the heart of the great wine appellations, south of the prestigious Saint-Julien Beychevelle and Pauillac appellations, and less than 10km north of Margaux.
The village is unique in that it has the highest point on the Médoc peninsula. The dome of the church, perched at a height of 35 metres, offers a unique and breathtaking view of the great wine region.
The Peugue ascent
This route takes you roughly along the small River Peugue from the border between Bordeaux and Mérignac to its source in the Bois de la Princesse in Pessac. It is a well-shaded route, suitable for all seasons except during very hot weather or rainy conditions, and can be completed by mountain bike or hybrid bike (the terrain is either tarmac or clay). It is also possible on foot, but a little tedious in places (Rue des As and Rue Socrate).

Gauriac heritage circular
Route suggested by the Association for the Preservation of Gauriacais Heritage.
Magnificent views of the Gironde estuary, the Bec d'Ambès, the Île du Nord and the Médoc. The route is dotted with beautiful houses belonging to sea captains, fishermen, carrelets (fishing huts) and troglodyte dwellings, all the way to the small port of Roque-de-Thau. It also crosses a protected wooded area, the Château de Thau and the church... 17 information panels provide walkers with information about the sites and structures they encounter.

A varied route, partly along the stream, in open country around the Monsalut estate with its two lakes, then through forest, then between moorland and cultivated fields, finally returning to the forest and the stream for the return to the source.

Head to the banks of the Gironde, reach the marina and set off to conquer the hillsides. Shady paths, vineyard landscapes and beautiful views around the Vierge de Montuzet are all on the menu for this walk!
The Eau Bourde between two mills in Cestas
In the privileged environment of the Bordeaux suburbs, there are many opportunities for walks and hikes. This loop, with its varied landscapes, can be enjoyed as a quiet and relaxing stroll, or, on the contrary, covered at a brisk pace using the techniques of power walking or Nordic walking. I opted for the latter, for a workout circuit lasting about an hour and a half.

Chemin du temps in the Bois de Thouars
A unique trail in France that takes you on a journey through the history of our universe. The Path of Time: each metre travelled represents 10 million years, and the 1.38 km of the Path of Time retraces the 13.8 billion years that separate us from the Big Bang. Project designed by the University of Bordeaux and its Bordeaux Astrophysics Laboratory (LAB) as part of the "Science with and for society" label and in partnership with the city of Talence.
Blaye Loop - Vineyards in the citadel
Formed by the confluence of the Garonne and Dordogne rivers, the Gironde Estuary is the largest estuary in Western Europe (600 km²) and the best preserved in terms of landscape and environment. Bordered by the vineyards of Médoc and Côtes de Blaye, this estuary is home to many inhabited and uninhabited islands that are well worth visiting.
Mandelieu and Mandavit parks in Gradignan
A very green circular loop, without concrete or tarmac, in Gradignan, very close to Bordeaux. Suitable in all seasons (paths are not muddy and there is shade). There are benches dotted along the route. There may be mosquitoes near the river (the Eau Bourde).

Between Cestas and Léognan, there are wide open spaces for beautiful, healthy walks, whatever the season. This is a walk that can be enjoyed with the family at a leisurely pace, but is also perfect for Nordic walking. Between the two lakes, the landscape is constantly changing, as both the vineyards and the forest take on a different appearance depending on the season and how they are used.
