(S/E) Park your vehicle in a small carpool car park, close to the D1010 (formerly the N10) on the other side of the green lake.
Start on a road (paved at first, then gravel) heading south-east. Ignore the first fork to the left (running alongside a drainage ditch) and continue straight ahead.
(1) At the next crossroads, turn sharply left, this time heading north-east, onto a pretty dirt track through the woods (suitable for vehicles).
After about 500 metres, you will rejoin the path you left at the beginning, as the ditch prevents you from going straight ahead.
Turn right.
You will pass under a high-voltage power line (which you will cross several times thereafter) and take a path that first runs through the woods and then between two fields used for grazing horses.
Continue along this path, turning slightly to the left about 300 metres after the power line.
(2) You will reach the D1010 departmental road, which you must cross: be very careful, as this is a busy road! On the other side, take a small road on the left (westbound) and follow it for about 300 metres.
(3) You will arrive at a place called "Le Petit Bordeaux". Turn right onto a small country road (heading north). You will soon reach the vineyards of Château Seguin (see below). As an alternative to the small road, you can follow the path along the edge of the vineyards. The small road leads to a slightly larger road (Chemin de la House), bordered by a cycle path; take this on the left. 100 metres further on, you will come to a well-organised road crossing that will allow you to take another unpaved cycle path.
(4) 350 metres further on, you will come to another cycle path; take it on the left. It runs straight ahead through the woods.
At the end, you will reach a wetter area: you are approaching the Eau Bourde, which you will cross via a small, narrow but sturdy bridge.
(5) On the other side of the bridge, take the path on the left (heading approximately south-west). You will pass under a high-voltage power line and gradually reach the river. Continue west.
(6) You will come to a road (Chemin Salvador Allende); cross it carefully, then turn left and follow the cycle path. You will now be heading south through the undergrowth. Follow this track for about 2 km. Two-thirds of the way along (at a place called Camparian), the track crosses the road, so take care. Shortly afterwards, a path branches off at a right angle to the left: this leads to the Lac Vert recreation area, allowing you to return to your starting point if you are on foot.
(7) At the roundabout (Chapet de Cestas district), cross very carefully and take the cycle path on the left (heading due east).
At the next roundabout, you are almost there. Cross the D1010 very carefully, as traffic is heavier than on the smaller roads. (S/E)
