Departure from Cantinole Tram Station, line D. Car parks nearby.
(S/E) Walk along the supermarket car park and reach the roundabout at the back of it at the end of Rue de l'Europe.
(1) Go around the roundabout on the left and join the cycle path. Turn left (Avenue du Médoc), cross the first bridge and you will reach a car scrapyard.
(2) Facing the large metal gate, take the small path on the left (Jalle du Taillan) and walk along the scrapyard on your right. Follow the riverbank on your left until you reach the next road.
Walk quietly and watch the local wildlife fly or dive, such as coots, egrets, herons, grey herons, wagtails, robins and kingfishers (spring-summer).
(3) Turn right, walk along the road on the left-hand side on the paved path and reach the entrance to Majolan Park.
(4) Enter the park and walk around it clockwise, heading towards the Maison des Jardiniers.
(4) On your return, leave the park and continue to the left, keeping close to the road. At the 90° left-hand bend, continue straight ahead, cross the small bridge and arrive at the foot of the high-voltage pylon.
(5) Take the path on the right (Chemin de la Jalle Neuve) towards the market gardens of Eysines and Bruges. Enjoy the beautiful scenery. Follow the stream on your right until you reach the bridge over it.
(6) Turn left and continue to the bridge at the mill at the end of the straight road. There is a refreshing and peaceful rest area with built-in seating.
(7) Continue to the right just before the bridge and follow the Jalle d'Eysines on your left until you reach the route you took earlier at the car scrapyard.
(2) Turn left and, taking the opposite route to the one you took on the way there, return to the Cantinole tram station (S/E).
