Rhône (le) walks

Hike near the Rhône, to the north of Ardèche. You will be surprised to find areas that are this "wild" so close to the Rhône Valley (Ardennes). At the end, the view of the Rhône and the Arras tower is a definite plus.

Starting from Chusclan, this is a hike over different types of terrain (tarmacked paths between vineyards, DFCI trails, single-track paths, etc.). Viewpoints over the Rhone Valley and Mont Ventoux. Visit to the medieval site of Gicon.

City walk to discover Avignon, the unmissable Saint-Bénezet bridge and the Palais des Papes, but also all the lesser known historical monuments that are worth a visit.

Between sky and sea! A superb walk that will take you to the heart of the Camargue, to discover the ponds, the salt and samphire, and the pink Flamingos. Taken personally on a beautiful sunny day in January, you'll have some rare encounters, especially with birds... Please note: between points (4) and (5) , the bridge has been washed away. Postpone this walk until further notice.

A very easy walk. The first part up to the dam, very pleasant and shady. There's not shade on second part until you arrive, so wear hats in sunny weather. Numerous birds and in particular grey herons, cormorants, swans etc. are visible near the water and on the banks of the Rhone.

Discovering Arles and its numerous Roman monuments and buildings. You can enjoy a short picturesque break along the canal from Arles to Bouc where you can go right up to the famous Van Gogh bridge before returning to the no-less famous bull ring.

Over the Rhone balconies between grape vines and apricot trees, with pretty little streams.

This is a short, easy loop that allows you to discover the panorama at the confluence of the Rhône and Ain rivers, the picturesque village of Anthon and its surroundings, including the banks of the Rhône and the beautiful town hall of Chavanoz.
