Parking Place du Maréchal Leclerc, located between the D86 and the railway line, very close to the bridge over the Rhône.
(S/E) From the car park, with your back to the Rhône, turn right to reach the end of the car park. Turn left onto Rue Audouard, which passes under the railway line. Continue straight ahead, ignoring Rue Pasteur on your left just after the tunnel, and continue to the crossroads.
Red and white markings
Turn right onto Rue Olivier de Serres and continue to No. 65 (on the left are the stairs that will be the way back).
(1) Continue straight ahead on the same street towards the Couvent des Chèvres and continue to No. 11. Turn left onto Rue de Rompon and climb the stairs. Shortly afterwards, the street turns into a path that climbs above the village. The path slopes to the north-west and enters a valley. When it narrows, turn right onto the path to quickly reach the Pendus signpost (the route on the map is slightly off).

(2) Take the path on the right towards the Couvent des Chèvres. Passing between the low walls of old crops, the path offers beautiful views of the Rhône valley and the Vercors. The path arrives on the plateau and heads left to come out in front of the ruins of the Couvent des Chèvres (private property).
(3) Follow the wide path that runs alongside the ruins on your left and a fence on your right (private property - quarry). Continue on the only path available to arrive at a gate leading to the quarry.
Red and white markings
The path coming from the left (left below) joins the track. Continue straight ahead on the track that goes around a hill and arrives in front of a large gate that regulates access to the quarry site. Go around the gate on the right, close the gate behind you, and follow the beautiful path that leads to the first houses of Vieux Rompon. When the path becomes paved, leave a path on your right and continue to the next fork near the chapel.
Yellow-white signposting
(4) Turn left towards the chapel (leave the path and the road on your right). Go around the chapel and follow the street that crosses the hamlet. After the last houses, take a path that leads to a gate with a sign for Le Chat Gourmand.
(5) Turn completely left onto the wide path (leave the path opposite and on your right, indicated by signs). After 250 m, the path makes a sharp right turn and climbs up the hillside.
You will arrive at a fork with small signs indicating access to the various climbing sites. Follow the path on the right, which starts off flat and leads to a magnificent view of the Ouvèze valley.
Be careful! The view is magnificent, but the path is not protected. Follow the path on the left along the cliffs and climbing routes. At times, the trail moves closer to or further away from the edge, entering the woods and then emerging to offer new panoramic views. After a short but fairly steep climb, the trail joins another coming from the left (not visible on the map).
(6) Turn right for a section in the forest. Further on, a short but steep descent leads to new views of the mouth of the Ouvèze. Continue and arrive at a large esplanade above Pouzin. Continue for about ten metres to find a fork (not marked on the map).
(7) Turn right onto the descending, stony path with the statue of the Virgin Mary in sight. The path is clearly visible, but other paths may cause confusion at times; always head towards Pouzin. Further down, the path is much clearer. Leave the path leading to the statue on your right and continue downhill until you reach the houses and Rue Olivier de Serres.
(1) Turn right then left to return to the car park (S/E).

I recommend it to all lovers of wild spaces.
