(S/E) Start from the car park north of the village (on the left after the town sign) of Châteaubourg.
From the car park, head back towards the village, cross the bridge over the Durtail stream
(1) Immediately after, take the path on the right that climbs between the trees and follow the stream on its right bank.
(2) After about 250 metres, take a small bridge on the right that crosses the Durtail stream again. The track then climbs steeply between the vineyards. The climb is quite steep, so stay on the main path, do not cross the stream again, and take your time. There are two or three very interesting viewpoints on the way up, so take the time to enjoy them. At the top of the climb, go past a cypress hedge and you will come to a small tarmac road, which is the hamlet of Cholet.
(3) Take this road on your left and pass the hamlet of Gourgonie.
(4) After 100 metres, take the path on the left and pass under the hamlet of Les Rases. The path becomes a trail. Be careful to close the gates behind you, as there may be animals depending on the season. Cross the hamlet of Combaud and continue straight ahead until you reach the Durtail stream.
(5) Cross it. The trail climbs quickly to the hamlet of Signac. Follow the paved road to Severin.
(6) In Séverin, take the second road on the left, then a path that leads to the hamlet of Marsanne (white and yellow signposts). In the hamlet of Marsanne, take the track on the right for about 250 to 300 metres.
(7) Then turn onto the narrow path on your left until you reach the Rochette-Desagnes crossroads (altitude 409).
(8) Go down the road on the right and turn left at the first crossroads (altitude 381), then left again at the second crossroads (altitude 345). Pass under the Machons farm and continue along the road until you reach a hairpin bend on the right.
(9) 50m after this, take a narrow path on the left that descends into the vineyards, keeping to the left-hand paths, to reach the starting track.
Turn right towards the finish (S/E).
