Park in the Farconnet car park (300 free spaces) located on Quai Farconnet on the banks of the Rhône.
(S/E) From the car park, head towards the post office and turn left to reach the main street. Cross at the pedestrian crossing opposite No. 10 Quai Farconnet (butcher's shop). Turn right and then immediately left into the alleyway that separates Quai Farconnet and Avenue Maréchal Foch.

Turn right onto Rue du Doux and go under the railway line.

(1) Immediately afterwards, turn left onto the small uphill path (Sentier des Tours). Soon, wide steps replace the path and, after a few bends, lead to the first tower. The path changes surface and on the flat section, three information panels provide information about the grands crus, the Rhône and the town. Continue along the path, which becomes less steep and then completely flat. After a shaded section, you will reach a crossroads flanked by a marker.

(2) Turn right and follow the path that climbs towards the Belvédère de la Chapelle. Shortly afterwards, just before a gate, turn left and take a few steps. The pleasant and often shaded climb finally leads to the viewpoint. A granite orientation table provides some information and it is possible to descend a few metres further on to get a better view of the town.
(3) From the orientation table, descend via the same path you took to climb up to reach the start/end of the Sentier du Belvédère.

(2) Turn right towards Tournon, pass the ruins of a tower and continue along the road that winds its way under cedar trees to reach the Tour de l'Hôpital with a statue of the Virgin Mary at its summit. Continue along the road that descends between the terraced vineyards. At the first hairpin bend, stay on the road (ignore a path that climbs to the right, not marked on the map).
At the third bend, turn left onto Route Panoramique (Rue du Docteur Cadet on the map). Walk alongside a recent building, turn right and, shortly afterwards, opposite the letterboxes at no. 17, turn left into Montée Sainte-Marthe. Go down the steps to Place Jean Jaurès.
(4) Turn left onto Rue de l'Hôpital, then left onto Rue Davity. Turn right onto Place Paul Sevin to see the Hôtel Fay de Solignac opposite. Turn left onto Grande Rue until you reach the corner of the Church of Saint-Julien. Turn right onto Rue du Dauphin François to arrive at Quai Marc Seguin.
(5) Continue right on the pavement and note the war memorial against the rock face on the right. Cross left at the pedestrian crossing to reach an esplanade opposite the war memorial. Go down the few steps to reach the banks of the Rhône. Follow the river to the left to reach the car park (S/E)
