Rochebrune and Alpette circular from Leutaz
This is a lovely circular in the mountain pastures above Megève with superb forest passages and magnificent views of the Mont Blanc range on arrival at Rochebrune.
Croisse Baulet loop from Le Plan
A beautiful loop to a little-known peak between Aravis and Beaufortain, particularly scenic. The climb is steep but the return loop via the little Croisse Baulet is enchanting, like a balcony with exceptional views of the Mont Blanc massif. It can get a little crowded on the way back as it can be reached in an hour from the Jaillet cable car.
Col de Jaillet
The Col de Jaillet offers a magnificent view of Mont Blanc, which appears close by. You can also see a Roman boundary stone that marked the border at the time.
Crêtes du Torraz
The route offers magnificent views of the Aravis mountain range with Mont Blanc opposite you. Pure bliss!
The tour of Lac du Mont Charvin
This hike will introduce you to the flora and fauna of the Alps. Depending on the time of year, you can meet the inhabitants of these mountains and taste their delicious cheeses.
Double loop of Mont Clocher from Hauteluce
A classic summit in the area, but with an unusual starting point. Beautiful view of part of the Les Saisies ski area. 360° panorama at Mont Clocher, and you can even catch a glimpse of the Roselend dam.
Petit and Grand Croisse-Baulet
A varied itinerary on fairly gentle slopes, with exceptional views from the ridges. The Croisse Baulet is mainly used by ski tourers, while the Petit Croisse Baulet is accessible from several sides, both on snowshoes and skis: the proposed loop starts at Le Plan, in La Giettaz.
Petit Croisse Baulet via the Col de Niard

Croix des Frettes and Croix de Fer
This balcony route offers beautiful views of the Aravis mountain range, La Giettaz and the Arrondine valley, all facing Mont Blanc.
From Col des Aravis to Les Stallets via Chalet du Curé and Boegneuve
An easy hike offering magnificent panoramic views of the entire Mont Blanc range. The mountain range gradually reveals itself as you hike along a road that is passable by vehicle throughout. If you go as far as Stallets, you will have an extraordinary 180° view of the Northern Alps. It is also possible to stop at the Chalet du Curé, which already offers a commanding view, or at Boegneuve. This hike is completely exposed, so we recommend doing it in autumn or late summer, or during the cooler hours of the day in summer.
Croix de Fer from the Col des Aravis
This is a fairly easy short loop for families, stopping at the Croix de Fer for a superb view of Mont Blanc and the surrounding mountains.
L'Étale
L'Étale (altitude 2,483 m) is a complex mountain in the Bornes-Aravis massif, renowned for its aerial ridge route. The normal route (with a few variations) allows you to climb up a relatively austere combe on the western slope, but the final stretch is well worth the effort for the purity of the ridge and the expansive view.
Summit of Orsiere from la Gutary
This circular walk will take you through the steep-sided wooded valley beneath the Aiguille de Manigod. It then brings you up into pastures before making the steep ascent to Sur le Freu and the more gentle ascent to the top of Orsiere via la Riondaz. The descent takes you back through pastures before heading back down through the forest to the start. Great views towards Manigod and the mountains behind Annecy, Mont Charvin.
Pointe d'Orsière loop via the Passage du Freu from Gutary
From the hamlet of La Gutary in Manigod, I suggest a beautiful loop trail on one of the foothills of the Aravis massif. The route starts with a climb up the Fier valley with a few steep sections, then joins the Passage du Freu, which requires a little care. It then continues through alpine pastures, passing the Pointe d'Orsière.
Lac de la Girotte from Les Granges
Magnificent view of Lac de la Girotte, its dam, Col du Joly and Mont Blanc. Striking contrasts and colours. The path takes us through the Montaz and Commanderie hills and magnificent alpine pastures covered in flowers. The climb through the forest is a little steep at the beginning. Significant incline.
Montagne d'Outray
A superb hike offering magnificent scenery. Mont Blanc is omnipresent! The view of the Beaufortain and its dams is also worth the detour.
Aiguille des Calvaires and Combe de Borderan
A great pointy summit with a cross on top and good views followed by a descent of Borderan Combe. This could easily be done in reverse and/or without the use of the cable cars.
The Merdassier Viewpoint
In summer, this gradual climb will take you through the forest, then the mountain pastures to halfway around a beautiful artificial reservoir. (medium level)
You will then climb a very steep forest path (difficult rating) leading to the viewpoint at 1980m, offering an incomparable view of La Clusaz, the Col des Aravis, the Mont Blanc massif and the peaks of the Jura.
The second part of the descent, after the reservoir, is easy and informative (plants and habitats).
Pointe de Beauregard and Croix de Colomban
This hike offers several different views of the mountains. The climb is gradual and takes you through alpine pastures. The descent is mainly through forest. There are some beautiful views, particularly of the Aravis mountain range, Mont Blanc and La Tournette.

This hike is interesting in both summer and winter. On snowshoes after a good snowfall, on a beautiful sunny day, the forest passages offer opportunities for beautiful photos.
From La Clusaz to Lac des Confins and back via Bossonnet
A beautiful circular route around La Clusaz that allows you to discover the nearby mountain pastures. The first part takes place in the forest: ideal in summer because it is shaded, and in autumn because it is exposed to the sun's rays. At the edge of the forest, the view of the valley is breathtaking, with beautiful panoramas of Les Aravis and the village of La Clusaz.
