Access via Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe then Le Planay to park at the designated area in the hamlet of Plan Désert.
(S/E) Go round the small lake then head along the Plan Désert ski lift via the track, then turn left to reach the junction ofthe GRP® variant of the Tour du Beaufortain at Lac du Guï, which is really just a small pond.
(1) Turn left here and follow the red and yellow markings. Walk alongside and cross the Vorès ski lift. After the top of the ski lift, continue on to reach the top station of the Lac chairlift.
(2) Continue along the ridge on theGRP®, passing the top stations of the Plan des Fours and Douce chairlifts. Then head to the Bellastat chairlift station.
(3) Continue down a gentle slope to the low point at the junction with the path coming from the hamlet of Bellastat.
(4) Stay on theGRP® and continue slightly uphill to reach the summit of Mont de Vorès or Tête des Trois Coins. Here, join the Mont-BlancGRP ®.
(5) Turn left here and begin the descent to reach the Col de Basse Combe fairly quickly.
(6) Leave theGRP® and turn left onto the path through the woods, reaching the Limace chalets and, immediately afterwards, a new junction.
(7) Stay on the path on the right, go round a hairpin bend to the right and continue through the forest to reach the hamlet of Bouza in a clearing.
(8) Take the path on the left; at the next junction, keep left and continue down the slope until you reach a track at a stream.
(9) Take this track opposite and follow it back to the car park at the Plan Désert rest area (S/E).
