The Path of Angels in Jasney
With a thousand years of history and remarkable architectural heritage (castles, wash houses, fountains, mills, etc.), Jasney also enjoys a preserved natural environment. You will walk to the charming village of Anjeux and its magnificent church built inthe 15th century. On the way back, you will pass by the Carrefour des Anges, where you can enjoy a superb view of the green landscapes of Jasney and the surrounding hills.
Lake Vesoul-Vaivre and César’s Camp
Discover the village of Vaivre-et-Montoille, on the lakeside, and Chariez, a ‘Cité de Caractère’ in Franche-Comté. From the top of Camp de César, you can admire the plain and Lake Vesoul to the north and Chariez to the south.
As you walk through Chariez, you’ll discover its vineyards, historic houses and its listed church.
On the way back, enjoy the lake, its flora and fauna, boat trips, the beach and places to eat on either side.
Route de découverte de Luxeuil-les-Bains
Luxeuil-les-Bains is one of the many spa towns in the Haute-Saône. This route allows you to discover all its heritage, such as the abbey, the Basilica of Saint-Pierre, the Tour des Échevins and the thermal baths of Luxeuil. Many of the buildings are constructed from local stone sourced from the Vosges. This charming route allows you to wander around this spa town for several hours. You might even return with some Luxeuil ham. This walk is classified as ‘moderate’ as it is over 10 kilometres long and may not be suitable for younger children.
From the Madone de Dampvalley to the Veuvey spring
The route passes by the Madone de Dampvalley, descends to Dampvalley-les-Colombe, then follows the Colombine to the Veuvey spring (karst resurgences) and returns via the plateau.

On the heights of Montigny-lès-Vesoul
A pleasant little hike in the hills above Montigny-lès-Vesoul. The route alternates between dirt tracks, gravel paths and a few tarmac sections. The trail crosses fields and small woods, offering pretty views of the surrounding villages. It passes close to Poncey and Chemilly, making for a peaceful and accessible walk.
However, there is a slight inconvenience at the end of the route: the trail runs alongside a composting platform. Depending on the day, the wind and the temperature, unpleasant odours may disturb your walk for about 200 metres.
Villers-le-Sec, Essernay and Les Miroudots route
An easy walk with little elevation gain, mostly in the shade of the woods. Passes by the Essernay chapel and a few beautifully restored old farmhouses. A route best enjoyed on a hot day.

As part of its nature education programme, the Haute-Saône Hunting Federation has created an educational trail about wildlife and its habitats. In the heart of nature, you will find fun, interactive information points and display boards presenting the animals that live in the areas you pass through. The trail also passes through a remarkable area classified as a Natura 2000 site, notably for its dry grassland habitat and its discreet orchids.
