The route starts from Lac des Sept Chevaux, located on the outskirts of the town on the D6, towards Breuches.

(S/E) From the information board for the walk, located at the car park on the embankment, take the path on your left into the forest, which runs alongside the lower lake. Just before reaching the junction with the path separating the two lakes, take the path branching off to the left which runs alongside the upper lake, until you reach a Fork in the road.
(1) You can shorten the route by taking the path branching off to the right and following the Blue Ring markings. To stay on the Circuit des Sept Chevaux, continue along the path that curves to the left. Cross the stream via the wooden bridge, then continue straight on until you reach the Route Forestière du Canton.
(2) Take the forest road on your right, then, at the junction, turn right and continue straight on until you reach the Fork in the road.
(3) At the junction with the Route Forestière des Sept Chevaux, take it on your right and continue straight on until you reach the railway line, which you will follow on your right until you reach the road leading to the industrial estate.
(4) At the junction with the road running alongside the Athelots Industrial Estate, turn right to go past the sawmill. At the bend, take the path opposite and continue straight on for 150 m, before turning right onto a track leading to the upper lake. You will come to a Fork in the road.
(5) Turn right, then left at the dam to walk alongside the lower lake. After the restaurant, turn right to return to the starting point (S/E).
