Car park near Pusy Church.
(S/E) Leave the car park, cross the road to walk past the church and take the road leading down towards the château (town hall).
(1) Turn right into the château’s French-style garden (open to the public) then walk down the short Impasse du Château. Then turn right again onto Rue de Sauvigney.
(2) When you reach a spring, turn left onto Rue du Tillon. Then take the first road on the right, Rue de la Fontaine des Champs.
(3) When you reach a junction, turn right again onto Rue de Pusy Lafayette, then turn left straight away onto Rue du Val des Charmes.
(4) After crossing a small stream, turn left onto a stony path (there are quite a few puddles in wet weather as the path is quite badly worn)
This stony path turns into a grassy track as you approach the Moulin de Gabeuret.
(5) Join the road on the left, then at the next junction turn right to reach the hamlet of Val des Charmes.
At the junction, turn right; after passing several caravans, turn left onto a stony path to reach the woods.
(6) At the entrance to the woodland, go through the gate (whether it is open or not) and continue straight on.
At the junction, turn right at a 90° angle onto a wide track and stay on it until you leave the woodland. Towards the end, the track turns into a forest path; you’ll need to carefully untie a gate and then close it again to reach the fields.
(7) Then head off by veering left onto a grassy path to reach the tarmac road.
Then head downhill to the right and stay on this road until you reach the village of Pusy (passing near the water tower and the Croix de Batailley).
Pass a football pitch on your left, the entrance to the cemetery on your right, and arrive at the car park near the church (S/E).
