Côte Saint-Pierre in Fontenoy-la-Joûte
In the heart of the "Village du Livre", starting from the church, this short trail, "the Sentier des Vignes", will take you to the Chapelle Saint-Pierre, a listed historic monument, and to the orientation table. You’ll follow a charming little tree-lined path and then a dirt track. A circular route will take you past the orchards and vineyards of the Côte Saint-Pierre. From the Haut des Monts, you’ll catch a glimpse in the distance to the left of the blue line of the Vosges and the Hohneck.

A lovely walk from the 13th-century Saint-Jean Chapel to the low-altitude peat bogs.

Circular route via the fountains of Romont and the viewpoint
A route in the Northern Vosges, offering views of beautiful fountains and the mountain range. A route with little elevation gain but which allows you to admire a vibrant village and its peaceful surroundings. A viewpoint and an orientation table will delight walkers.

Short walk with no particular technical difficulty, more suited to brisk walking.
Route des Roches in the Répy massif
A very pleasant, shaded circular route on charming forest paths. After an easy climb, almost the entire route is on the summit plateau. You will walk from rock to rock: Joli Bois, Faucompierre, Corbeaux, Coucou, Renard, passing by Tête de Répy, with beautiful views at each one.
Mondon State Forest in Moncel-lès-Lunéville
A pleasant walk in the Mondon National Forest with no significant elevation gain and on wide paths (except near the Grand Étang). The route is made easy by clear landmarks. Stop at the Grand Étang to watch the birds.
La Roche Saint-Blaise
Short walk with a steep climb at the start and a beautiful view from the Roche de Saint-Blaise.
The finish isn't great, as it's in a housing estate, but I must admit I did this walk with my young dog Marcus to prepare him for future hikes with me.
Pierre d'Appel at the start of Raon-l'Étape
A beautiful short hike on mostly single-track trails in the forest. Beautiful views.
Reclos State Forest
This hike will take you through the Reclos forest with the Rocher des Vannes, Rocher Cuny, Rocher des Arcades and Roche de Cherpierre.
La Tête des Rondeaux from La Trouche
A circular route through the forest almost entirely on footpaths. Dotted with several sandstone outcrops, including the impressive cliffs of the Grande Basse and the Tête des Rondeaux. Pine, birch, spruce and beech trees abound. Plenty of blueberries in the summer months. A classic route for this part of the Vosges, but always just as enjoyable, especially on the footpaths.
Le Rocher des Vannes
You will encounter spectacular rocks on the Meurthe-et-Moselle side of the plain and discover the beautiful Forêt du Reclos as you walk along the well-marked trails of the Club Vosgien.
Park in the hiking car park at the exit of the hamlet of La Trouche in the direction of Celles-sur-Plaine.
La Pierre d'Appel and La Tête de Répy from Étival-Clairefontaine
The route winds through the shade of the Côte de Répy massif. Pass by the Pierre d'Appel promontory to enjoy a sweeping view of Étival-Clairefontaine, then head towards the Tête de Répy with its observatory overlooking Raon l'Étape.
The route is dotted with numerous rocks, often with a bench where you can sit and enjoy the varied panoramic views.
Gondremer–Autrey
From the village of Housseras, follow the signs for the Gondremer Garden to begin a walk that will take you to the Gondremer Botanical Garden, the Roches de l’Ours and the Grands Sapins trail.
Three villages around Mont-sur-Meurthe
This walk will take you through three villages around the Meurthe and Mortagne rivers.
From the Black Madonna to the Kronprinz Shelter
Blue round markings, picnic areas, tables and benches throughout the route. This route allows you to discover a few curiosities: the Black Madonna, the Kronprinz shelter (command bunker of the Prince of Bavaria) during the First World War.
Circular of Léomont
A beautiful route around Lunéville, allowing you to discover the town and its surroundings from the heights of the Méhon terraces and the summit of Léomont.
Route Daniel Vitry in La Bourgonce
An easy route around the western part of the village, with beautiful views of the village and the surrounding mountains. This route is named after Daniel Vitry, a member of the Raon-l'Étape Club Vosgien, who worked to develop hiking in La Bourgonce.

A walk dotted with signs encouraging you to relax and enjoy nature.
Grand Jumeau route and Petit Jumeau route
A lovely family walk along small forest paths, taking you to the two summits of the Grand and Petit Jumeau. The two routes can be done separately. Peaceful and shaded, this walk is an ideal choice for a stroll during the height of the summer heat. As an added bonus, there is a playground, a small pond and picnic tables in a magnificent clearing at the starting point.
Sentier des Folies in Lunéville
A short path in the hills above Lunéville. This path offers a panoramic view of Lunéville, with its castle and churches. Furthermore, in fine weather, you’ll enjoy a splendid view of the foothills of the Vosges.
The path is lined with fruit trees (mirabelle plums, cherries, apples) and numerous horses and other animals.
Le Léomont
A beautiful route for the whole family, which will take you in the footsteps of the Great War and through the Lunéville countryside, where you can admire a 360° landscape. Magnificent view of the blue line of the Vosges mountains.
