Circular route via the fountains of Romont and the viewpoint

Park in the church car park.

(S/E) With your back to the church, walk down Rue du Génie. At the crossroads, turn right onto Grande Rue (D32).

(1) Cross the road carefully and, turning left then right, take Rue de la Grande Fontaine. Pass a beautiful, well-maintained fountain and continue to Grande Rue.

(2) Follow it to the left, then turn right onto Rue des Vignes.

(3) Take the path on the right leading to the viewpoint. At the fork, continue to the right and you will come out onto Route de Saint-Maurice.

(4) Follow it to the left and arrive at the entrance to Saint-Maurice-sur-Mortagne.

(5) Take a path that climbs after the first houses and leads to a pond.

(6) Walk alongside it to the old railway line, turn right onto it and continue to the old station.

(7) Just after the station, turn right, pass a farm and continue along a path to the left after it. You will come to an old cross.

(8) Turn right into Rue Derrière le Château and continue left into Rue de l'Étang.

(9) Turn right into Rue du Breuil and cross the Ruisseau de la Prairie. Turn left, still on Rue du Breuil, pass a farm that breeds snails and arrive on the left at the church car park (S/E).
